quinntavious101The podcast that got me into podcastsI’ve loved this podcast since it came out, this podcast has frankly made me a better person in so many ways. They were the reason I really pushed myself to see a therapist and I can’t wait for the day I’m not paycheck to paycheck and can donate to on Patreon :)

L_angelo_11Love this pod!I love this pod! It’s so lighthearted and funny, yet these three clever and talented hosts still find a way to talk about serious topics and current events! Unfortunately I can’t join the Patreon because I’m a kid, but I would definitely encourage others to do so and support these three artists!

heavenmirac1eBest Pod 4 Queer Folks (esp WLW)love love love this pod. i watch it on youtube every week & it’s the only podcast i consistently watch every single week, the day it comes out. something about it is just perfect for what i want- each of them bring a different perspective to the conversation and i relate to all of it. as a former people pleaser who’s now growing up into being more assertive, as a queer woman who’s studying psychology esp w relationship psychology, everything ab the dynamic insights elena & ashley bring hits home for me and mak is my age so brings in the comedic relief gen z perspective. nothing but love for this pod, have loved to witness the growth they’ve all gone through in the time i’ve watched them & hope they never stop making episodes. y’all have something special here. (hope ashley sees this since she’s always reading reviews lol but as a 23 yr old who surrounds herself w mostly queer ppl wanted to make sure u know how important ur perspective and voice is in the community. i’m sure u already know this but truly. we need more people who have uncomfortable conversations ab the effects we often have in our actions within the queer community & your level-headedness about a lot of the issues that have come up in the pod is extremely appreciated. as are all the varying perspectives mak & elena bring each week as well, something ab this trio is just perfect.) love u guys! stay healthy and keep up the amazing work w the pod💗💫🫶🏼

LesdrienneSo so greatI’m such a fan of all of the hosts individually. Their dynamic together is hilarious, nurturing, and charming. What a great great show.
-
kClareMcKChat GPTCome on Ashley. We just listened to you rant about the death of standup and then you’re like “I got chat GPT to draw a picture of me for my new show”?! What a contradiction. Pay an artist to do your graphics.

CEO of Bottom NationCHOSEN FAMILYAaaah!!! I love them, their dynamic, their chaos and funny banter. It makes my Wednesdays brighter 💕they are so gay and so insightful and funny.

Chels MontanaAshkey is all about AshleyI used to really enjoy this podcast, but I just can’t listen to Ashley talk about herself anymore
-
goPuff pointerUnsubscribedWhat’s unfortunate is that I still enjoy the podcast but I cannot continue to listen after the recent episode. It’s been a good run but I think I’ll find my Chosen family somewhere else ✌🏻
-
Opis momAshley giving narcissismAshley’s self absorption makes it unbearable, but would have enjoyed it without that
-
ReviewsBarelyMatterReal family vibeAshley acts more like a toxic and emotionally abusive dad, but Alayna and Mak would definitely be my chosen family. I would listen to just the two of them.
-
GraaaaaceeeeeGreat listenLove to hear the great banter and interesting discussions!

Jumping beans on toastLove it!An absolute comfort listen for me each week.

GfhhdgbnhLove this podcast & Ashley t-shirt recsI’m mostly leaving this review in response to the latest episode and to help Ashley with the hunt for the perfect tee. My recommendation: Abercrombie men’s Premium Heavyweight Cropped Tee. It comes in a bunch of colors. Oh and the podcast! Icame to this podcast as a fan of WHGS and Ashley’s comedy. Now I’m a fan of all 3 chosen family hosts! The show is earnest and funny and sometimes makes me cry.
-
yikesyikesyikesFun showThey are fun to listen to and I especially enjoy Alayna’s insights and hearing about Mak’s interests. Ashley interrupts her co-hosts frequently and belittles listeners who write in with genuine questions. I enjoy a lot of her conversation but the podcast is hard to listen to when she pulls focus to herself for cheap or mean jokes and when she constantly interrupts her co-hosts.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!I love this so muchThis podcast is impeccable. I love it so much and it taught me so much. Everybody is so funny and relatable. It is truly truly amazing and I love how they keep bringing up flimsy bits

Spark R.Please stop the noom adsPlease google experiences of noom causing eating disorders and get out of that contract ASAP. I love the pod, it’s super comforting and funny! I work in the mental health field, and I am a person who has recovered from an eating disorder. I know ads are important and hope you can get a contract that is not so harmful. 54% of lgbtqia+ youth meet the criteria for an eating disorder, and even more struggle with disordered eating.

mmevnycEating on micLook, I love this show. All three are delightful. But why oh why do they keep eating on the mic?? Maybe they don’t understand that it’s not just the chewing: when you eat you produce saliva and your whole way of speaking becomes “wet” for several minutes. The mic amplifies those wet sounds. It’s so unprofessional and, as someone with misophonia, it’s enraging. I have to turn the episode off and stew for awhile and then I end up writing reviews like this. Please stop making me this person. If the only time you have to eat lunch is when you are mic’d up in a professional setting, you’re doing too much.

antiup._.Ashley can tell ppl to k*ll themselves all she wants, that is not my issue with her. Weird to talk about politics on this pod and tell ppl how to vote when it seems like u have no idea what you’re talking about. Even more weird to put the blame on gen z. Promote revolution not politicians.

Sav70832Love this podcastThis is one of only 2 podcasts I listen to the other one is the podcast that shall not be named lol you guys are hilarious and I watch you guys when I need a dose of crazy family vibes!!! You each bring something different to this podcast and it’s unique, funny and comforting to have!!!

PompeianGreat show!Love the chosen family! They’re always a fun convo that I put on in the background and enjoy their banter, along with their helpful answers to patron questions. I was a little concerned about everyone cancelling Ashley, mostly because it just didn’t align with the Ashley I’ve listened to on this podcast and her other podcast that shall not be named for at least a year now. I’m glad they discussed it in an episode to clear the air, and I’m looking forward to what comes next. 🙂

allthenicknamesaretaken1995!Love Mak and AlaynaI used to love this show, but I can’t help seeing Ashley in a new light after the fan interaction in Indianapolis became public. I’m surprised Mak and Alayna are still working with her…? Disappointing to say the least. Even before, I had been getting frustrated at the constant interruptions (mostly Alayna and Ashley) and how Ashley turns everything around to be about her.

Trin.hgSome Episodes Are a MissOverall I really do like the podcast, I think it’s real and funny. Butttt some episodes are really not as just audio. I know the hosts upload videos of each episode to YouTube but I prefer to listen to podcasts while driving. During several episodes they seem to be doing or showing things to each other that no one describes, it just makes for slightly uncomfortable periods with strange background noise.

lazybookwormLove this podcast & listen every week but please stop interruptingI love this podcast, you all are wonderful. I just have to put it out there that as you all have gotten a rapport going this weird habit has developed that anytime ANYONE is telling a story about something remotely serious, 5 or 6 interruptions will occur and it’s hard to listen to. One of the main people interrupting is Alena which is surprising since I imagine she is a great listener off air. Love the show guys that part just always makes me cringe.
-
SaraclosetochicagoAwesome podcastI truly enjoy this podcast every week and I will continue to listen. I found Ashly and Mak on TikTok, sorry Alayna but I am glad I found you on this podcast now. You are not the first podcast I wanted to say this too but since you are family, I can share. Stop the non patreon shame. We know we are missing out and you deserve the money. I would pay to see you live but I can’t pay for extra podcasts or the time. Anyway, thanks for the laughs every week and I will keep listening every Wednesday. If any of you are in the chicago area, I would come to a show.

Campofreak1008From one Alaina to another, bravo!I have so much to thank this pod for, but I keep coming back to hear Ashley call Alaina perfect and pretend she’s talking to me. Better than therapy. Also shoutout to Mak from fellow midwesterner! Keep helping us all be better gays, guys!

ChloChlo12!Unique and hilarious!Always love listening to this group! They’re all so freakin funny in their own way and also give good life advice to their listeners.

rdanversY’all Are FantasticI’ve been listening to this podcast for a couple months now maybe (time isn’t real, I can’t remember), and I absolutely love it. Hearing y’all talk to, bicker with, and tease each other is like the best thing ever! It reminds me so much of how my friends and I are with each other. I just love it and wish I could give more than five stars. And Ashley, if you happen to read this, you are seriously one of the funniest comedians around today! I hope to see your standup someday because I was dying laughing during your YouTube special.

RudesPerezAlways a good timeSo much fun…the gayest podcast, but they are straight-friendly 😂

Megan cadyThe host Ashley Gavin harasses fansAshley Gavin told a recent audience member in her Indianapolis comedy show to “try harder to k*ll herself” and to “put a bull*t in the back of your skull” after telling her she was the most “annoying audience member she’s ever had”. She was screaming, it was not a joke or comedic, she was angry at her for “whooing” and “messing up her tension” for build up of the next joke, when she had just told the audience to be really loud. She released an insincere video saying she lost her temper and acted badly, she never was specific or stated what steps would be taken to correct this, and turned her comments off. Her cohosts have been deleting and filtering comments and refusing to address the situation. Sickening behaviour to a fan who payed extra for a meet and greet, and instead was humiliated. I regret supporting a group that would do such a horrific thing and sweep it under the rug when so much of their community and branding is built off of mental health advocacy and “family dynamics”.

gdawgxxyikesliked this podcast before ashley’s true colors came out. now i wish she were off it

N1c0l3napWould be my favorite if…Honestly, this podcast would be my favorite if Ashley wasn’t on it. I feel so safe and comfy and have fun listening to Mak and Alayna and just adore the energy they bring. Ashley does sometimes contribute something thoughtful or funny, but it’s soo overwhelmingly just constant complaining, self-absorbed, unsupportive, or downright aimlessly mean stuff that it actually makes it a negative experience to listen to. I really do get that she says that’s her style of comedy, but it creates such a negative and unwelcoming energy that is so opposite to the whole concept of this podcast. It’s such a bummer because the rest of it is great. I know this might be hard for Alayna and Mak to read, but I really hope you’ll consider creating something without Ashley. I can’t imagine it’s a positive experience for you if the way it feels to listen to her is how she make you feel in real life.
-
MamaNerd2BoyzAwesome Podcast!I love listening to the questions and answers to queer life. It’s helped me grow so much and it’s hilarious! I love all 3 hosts! Love you mommy; daddy, and brother 😍🏳️🌈🤟🏻
-
Tambourine_SoloAccountabilityI hope Ashley addresses what happened in Indianapolis.
-
Vic. T.An every week comfort podcast.I listen to this podcast every week on the day it comes out. It is so calming and nice to hear them, and it is the only podcast that I have both listened to from the start and listen to on a weekly basis. Very fun (:
-
oatmeal_queenAshley is pro suicide apparentlyCan no longer listen due to what came out about Ashley Gavin. Telling a fan to kill herself over and over at her Indy show? Literally so disgusting and wrong.
-
heatherwwwwfAshleyPlease address the accusations of your atrocious behavior at your Indy show. I can no longer be a fan. I even just watched the comedy special you begged everyone to watch. It was good. What a shame.
-
figrvyAmazingFunniest podcast I have ever listened to it is amazing and the hosts and guests are very nice
-
sbunny_xI feel welcomedThis is the second podcast I’ve really enjoyed listening to, and I found it from Youtube shorts. I didn’t realise how comforting and informative and funny this podcast would be, and how much it would mean to me as a queer person who doesn’t have a community nearby to be part of. I laugh, I relate, I feel like I’m listening to my sister and her friends talk. I hope this podcast goes on for a really long time!
-
Murf156A sense of community in many waysI have listened to this podcast for a while now and have always enjoyed it, but hit especially close to home with the Mak the Menace episode. The question from a listener about having chronic fatigue and migraines made me do a double take. It’s exactly the symptoms I’ve struggled with for 5 years of my life. It’s felt extremely isolating and I related to many of the problems this listener outlined. I’m going through a pretty bad flare up right now and it meant more than words can say to have this be addressed on the podcast. It gives me hope and confidence that I can be more open with people in my life about what I go through. This podcast is amazing, funny, genuine, and kind; I would recommend it to any and every queer person I know.

Fish112233queer community & friendshipthis podcast is such a lovely, comforting thing to put on when i feel lonely or i’m in a bad mood. it always cheers me up! alana, mac, and ashley are all such funny, smart, charismatic people who clearly have immense love and care for each other. the podcast is a fun time and doesn’t take itself too seriously, but also has some beautiful moments of reflection and solid life advice. listening to the chosen family pod is like talking with ur cool big sisters
