BjornEinarssonLuke 4:1-13I used to be skeptical of the view that satan was the Prince of this world. I thought it could be a nice place but with the election of donald trump to the presidency for the second time, it’s clear to me that the devil has quite an active role over us.

PrairiePreacherLadyValuable Sermon PreparationPlease release the podcast earlier than late on Tuesdays. I am so glad this podcast is available! My only wish is that it launched on Monday mornings. Updated review: Having Dr. Paulson right there in my office as I prepare for preaching is a great gift. My only wish for this podcast is that it be released earlier in the week, even early Tuesday morning would be better. Please consider this for those utilizing this resource for sermon preparation.

KisstodianDiving deeper into scriptureJust what I’ve been looking for, a podcast following the lectionary awesome! Now I can study the reading from church more closely.

Starflyer99InsightfulI was introduced to Dr. Paulson on the Outlaw God Podcast (which I also highly recommend). When I heard over there he was doing this one also I jumped in. I love the way he breaks the scriptures down and helps those ministering the Word as well as those reading the scriptures navigate the text. Hearing this in the context of the lectionary has been really insightful and helpful to me personally. He’s a good teacher and preacher that leads me to resting in the forgiveness of sins found in the person of Christ.

aallen554Insightful, thoughtful,& intelligentI love “eavesdropping” on these conversations of Scripture. A Bible lesson without being a bible lesson.

joyfulDonPreaching the textI loved this discussion. I have great respect for both Paulson and Hoyum. My last contacts with them have been at Mt Carmel. Is there any chance these pods can be released by noon on Sundays? I always start on the coming texts then! Don Myrvik

PA LutheranOutstanding teachersSteven Paulson is a giant in Lutheran circles. He believes and teaches “Theology is for Proclamation.” John Hoyum is a rising academic, preacher and teacher in the church. These two churchmen have produced a helpful tool for preachers and listeners. This podcast has my highest recommendation
