They make it seem so easy
The Fixable podcast is a must-listen for anyone navigating the ups and downs of work life! The hosts bring such practical, actionable advice to real-life challenges that we all face, and they do it in a way that's relatable, insightful, and even fun. Each episode leaves me feeling like I’ve gained new tools to tackle tough situations at work and approach problems from a fresh perspective. The discussions are empowering and make me feel like no issue is too big to solve. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to feel more capable, inspired, and equipped to thrive in their career!

    Well produced with 90s content
Always looking for good business podcasts; tried 5 of these. They included Uber, Amazons remote work, something about breaking things and will a very nice writer be replaced by AI. No great insight, lots of bias and too much self promotion. Recommendations were ok; the kind I saw in every business article in the 80s and 90s and you can now get with ChatGPT, the free version. They’re a bit lazy. The Amazon episode on remote work talked about the gazillions of studies supporting remote work. Didn’t mention that 98% are surveys asking people whether they liked it. The one objective one is over 10 years old and a Chinese call center (only one I’ve ever seen that’s objective but hardly representative of most businesses). Even a recent Harvard report mentioned the pros and cons; don’t think they read it. I’m a believer in the hybrid model, but all the fawning over remote work is either advocacy or sloppiness. Other episodes reminded of the lightweight, data free articles of 30 years ago. Lots of need for trust, transparency and just about every corporate buzzword you could think of. Almost all of it was correct and useful for a first time manager, but that’s it. Style was very good though the constant self promotion, again common back in the day, got a little annoying. My guess is this skill translates to reviews of the podcast.

    Uniquely smart, super enjoyable
When I close my eyes and think about the experience of listening to Fixable, I think… -Frances and Anne are undeniable experts on leadership, change and organizations and bring a unique brilliance to the conversation. From keen listening, to offering fresh insights that only their combination of brains and experience could offer, to communicating them in such a clear and compelling way…they’re the kind of experts you admire, believe and trust. -I often think, how did two people so complementary in their approaches, their preferences (see order into chaos vs chaos into order), and their communication styles find one another?! And in one podcast episode they told that story of meeting each other in the most relatable way. -The fact that there is a love story underneath this all is just the cherry on top for me. And the way this love is expressed in the podcast—via sweetness, respect, authentic exchange of ideas, a level of comfort that comes through the speaker—is goals. I’m so glad that these two brilliant women specialize in the corner of the world in which I work (leadership teams, org development) because we need all the goodness they bring.

    Anne-Fran Fan- Govt Employee
I love the show- especially loved the episode about C suite changes with Alan- I’m going through that right now and have gone through it before - I’m a state government employee and would love more episodes that discuss government-related issues because they really can be unique and difficult to address. Should be required for every undergrad and graduate level student
One of the smartest, beautifully courageous, thought-provoking and actionable podcasts I've discovered after a decade in private practice as an executive/leadership coach & HR consultant. Each episode is rich with insight, featuring relatable guests and real-life scenarios. 100% binge-worthy.

    Hilarious and informative
The two hosts do a tremendous job of providing valuable insight that can be implemented almost immediately. They do it in a fun, loving way that anybody can utilize in their workplace environment, regardless of profession. One of my faves.

    Excellent!!
I so appreciate this podcast. Anne and Frances see the humans at the heart of the issues and topics they are discussing, and they are clear-eyed when finding solutions. I also really appreciate how they bring their own vulnerability and learning to these conversations.

    Learned a lot
I love the dynamic between Frances and Anne. I have referenced several episodes of Fixable to other people. Their discussions on making meetings effective and wobbly trust triangles are highlights for me. I think this show works best when they are interviewing others rather than the original premise where they take real people’s dilemmas and try to fix them because I think most things simply aren’t “fixable” that quickly. Maybe it would be worthwhile to follow one person actively trying to fix an issue over the course of a few episodes.

    Insightful
I stumbled upon this show while looking for something about communication, workplace culture, etc. and I’m so thrilled I found it! The hosts offer practical insights for their callers, and I’m inspired to think about work challenges in a new way.

    Fascinating
I just spent seven hours on a road trip listening to episode after episode. Fascinating stuff! I love their scientific, yet empathetic approach.

Every episode is valuable with takeaways I need
Every episode offers something meaningful, with experiences and context I can see reflected in my own life/work and the world around me. Even if the title or description makes me think “this isn’t like my life/work/whatever” I am always blown away by how relevant and useful it turns out to be. Plus, Anne and Frances are an absolute inspiration when it comes to ways of approaching conversations where there are big gnarly questions and people are looking for advice. I can’t recommend highly enough!

    Best show ever
This show has been an invaluable companion on my leadership journey. Not only are the hosts incredible authors (definitely check out Unleashed), but they always deliver insightful, actionable, and thought-provoking content that gives me many ideas and clear action items to implement in my organization. They go through real-world/relatable examples with real people in each episode. I’ve implemented some of their advice and it WORKED, in addition to positioning me as a more decisive leader and manager. As a bonus, the hosts have super and calming radio voices, so for anyone on a leadership journey (and really, we all are), this is a must-listen. Highly recommended!

    Refreshing
Nice to get something from TED that hits authentically for a change. Great rapport between hosts, refreshing approaches to keep a just-right perspective. Oh! And the word “wobble” is becoming part of my regular lingo now.

    Humor, Humility, and Humanity
Spoiler - this podcast sparks joy and can help you forward your own action and deepen learning. I admire how Anne and Frances show up with such humor, humility, and humanity and encourage/inspire others to do the same, whether callers hope to set a new course personally, professionally, deepen relationships, or otherwise. I also appreciate the diverse viewpoints and perspectives they offer themselves, including Anne’s deep and powerful questions about someone’s goals, feelings, or values and Frances’s brilliant systemic and operations-focused mind. I learn so much every time I listen and that lasts long after each episode ends. Not only about how to approach or “fix” my own problems, but also how I can continue to grow as a leader, coach, and imperfect human, helping others in the process. I trust their guidance and advice - and trust myself more as a result.

    Relatable and actionable
Have never related to a podcast more. Absolutely love the genuine, authentic, and relatable nature of the episodes. I felt like the Delaney episode was a personal coaching session for the exact inner conflicts I am facing. Leaving this “session” reenergized with renewed optimizing to claim back control and agency in my own “soulless big tech role” THANK YOU! And please don’t stop these conversations because they are absolutely incredible.

    Playful, a bit glib
The rapport between the hosts is strength and allows engaging conversations about work frustrations experienced by many. It over promises with the idea of fixing a range of business problems but offer solid coaching for interpersonal tensions.

i’m usually skeptical of podcasts that can help me… but this one has already made me change the way I think about work. Frances and Anne come with a humility that I love. I can’t wait to re-think my meetings.

    Always learning!
I am not in business. I found this podcast on accident when they did an episode on communication that a nurse called in to discuss. I learned a lot and shared it with my unit. Now, I listen and learn new things every week. I’m always surprised by the direction the conversation goes, and I’m learning that there are many options when approaching a problem at work. I’m excited to keep listening!

Transformative Podcast Experience - hooked for life
By far one of the best podcasts I've listened so far. The way Frances and Anne tackle complex problems and offer applicable, accessible solutions is remarkable. They approach each issue with finesse and compassion, asking insightful questions that dig deep into the root of the problem. Their post-interview analysis adds an extra layer of depth to the discussion, enabling listeners to develop a better understanding of the issues and solutions presented. I believe this podcast has the potential to create a transformative impact on numerous businesses and individuals striving for success. The tagline of "meaningful change happens QUICKLY" is incredibly fitting for the show's content and overall message. I highly recommend this podcast to both employees and businesses owners alike, that are looking to elvevate their lives and businesses towards phenomenal success. Frances, and Anne - Thank you!

Brains and Heart in perfect harmony
Most people think it takes time (a lot of time) to build trust, but Anne and Francis show the listener how it’s done sincerely, and quickly. They move quickly to the central issue brought by their guests and do so with their very sharp minds and generous hearts. The episodes of Fixable are more than lessons about solving common business problems; they are examples of consultation done with logic, empathy, and unvarnished authenticity. Fixable is my new favorite podcast!

    Aha Moment
This episode was really great. Just love listening to Frances and Anne talk about the situation and ask the right questions of David. I just waited for David to have that aha moment which he did! Only regret is we didn’t get the 501c information so we could all donate.

    Should be called Fixing!
Fascinating to hear Anne and Frances work through questions or problems and arrive at tangible fixes. Their process is as satisfying as the solves they are creating.

    Thoughtful and insightful
Great hosts with real world examples!

    Problem solving at the surface
I listened to the first two episodes. This lofty theoretical approach is what you would expect coming from the academic environment. I can’t really tell if the hosts’ responses are prepared or spontaneous. Either way, these suggestions probably go over well with young impressionable students or the faculty room but I doubt any of this would be helpful in the real world. The hosts really believe that they have the solutions though. The show is relatively new so maybe it will get better as they go along. So far the suggested way to fix your problems is with “communication” and “trust”.

    Super Engaging!
The first thing I noticed was the uplifting energy of Anne and Francis. You just want to keep listening to them. What else is obvious is their organizational competence, their skill in asking proving questions, their ability to analyze complex problems, and being able to communicate solutions effectively. I love how they self-disclose when it relates to the current problem. Listening to this podcast is not only helpful to understanding management issues, but is also a really enjoyable experience. Listen and subscribe. You will be glad you did!
