Andrew and Mary, thank you for creating this podcast. You’re excellent. Keep it up. We can’t let Donald get anywhere near the WH.

    Thank you
For explaining all of these legal issues for us non-legal people. Your podcasts should be mandatory listening for everyone before they vote.

    Just a thought
Have you considered sending Eileen Cannon a link to your show, you know, just to help her in her decision making?
  • IoB.
If it looks like a duck..
Why are you continuing to give Cannon excuses? It’s her inexperience, it’s her being alone in her district? She’s having a bad hair day? If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, it’s a duck. She’s corrupt. I’m hoping DOJ had someone looking into her financial situation. Possibly we have another Thomas or Alito. Just not as smart.

    Nice try
Hey @Bdub441..I had to laugh at your complete ignorance of the actual law or you not knowing how the constitution really works. Nothing is stated in this show explains exactly what crimes DJT has committed. You know why because there are NONE. It is an absolute farce of political opponents using lawfare to hurt rivals. These are dishonest people who purposely lie to you for financial gain. Think about it without your hate @Bdub441 wake up man. I'm not sure how they look at themselves in the mirror let alone come to the realization that their whole career and livelihood depends on hating & harassing Trump. Without their obsession with him they would have nothing. Get help please for the sake of the country.

Not lies but actual legal insight
First off this is a great course of law information from attorneys with extensive experience in these areas! Thank you for putting this out weekly and giving us insight on the nuances of the trial and on going ridiculous journey of DJT… also I have to say that “itwasntmesir45” review is garbage and pure ignorance. You should highlight this type of misinformation in your podcast :) clowns don’t wear make up anymore just hide behind reviews

Can’t wait for next episode. Mary and Andrew are the best. And they should be on MSNBC as regulars.

    Such a great listen!
I absolutely love Andrew Weismann. He and Mary are so good together. They really play off each other very well. I’ve learned so much about judiciary procedures and language. They break things down so that someone like me can understand them. It’s not really biased, it’s a little but I think it’s more because of legal not political basis. I think they totally dislike how Trump abuses the legal system or uses the legal system and speaks with such vile rhetoric of the unfairness of it towards him. I can’t wait for the new podcasts to become available to see what’s up next. Both Mary and Andrew really put a lot of thought into their conversations. I hope after Trumps ordeals are over, these two will find another subject to discuss. Of course that might be awhile but, I’d listen to anything they would do together, they’re that good!

I live for this show …
There is a calming effect for me when I hear the two of you analyze this whole Trump hutzpah and when you inform us about the cases … I love your approach and delivery, everything! And this is coming from a person who works daily in public defense. :) Love you guys! Thank you.

Why is the sound SO bad?!
Content is good, obviously, but the sound is awful. I get it, you maybe want to repurpose TV for podcasting, but you’re MSNBC… do better, respect the audience and the medium

I love this show, really informative, pleasant and easy to listen to, not full of egos!
  • Jupes!
    WOW. So grateful 🙏✨.
Thank you so much, for giving all your years of experience to this effort so generously. You speak to your audience with such warmth and accessibility, that I can hear the news, take an ethics class, learn nuance of the law, all while doing the dishes. I have to say, I consider myself someone who is pretty up on the news. I try to listen to a variety of sources and make sure there’s a healthy amount of balance in my notably biased perspective. As much as I prioritize, inclusion and empathy, I get that those two can inadvertently come from a unconscious unilaterally biased perspective. Sorry, I’m getting to my point: you guys illicit in me a deep sense of pragmatism, which feels so necessary when adjudicating something of this magnitude. The way you parse and disseminate information, has allowed me to understand that a lot of this really is absolutely as ridiculous as it seems. and still, everyone has the right to their day in court, well argued evidence will speak for itself, or at least as is the hope in our trust for a justice system that buy its nature require it be tested. Also, on a personal note, I’m inspired by your depth of knowledge, and the humility and intention with what you share it. Which is why I said in my title, so grateful.

    Award worthy!

    Public Verses Private Expression
Some years back, I listened intently as Andrew Weissmann spoke of his experience as criminal attorney - how he brought truth to light by challenging the jury to think about the contrast between a person’s public statements and that same person’s private knowledge. Unknowingly, I have been obsessively applying Weissmann’s wisdom - winding fibers of our country’s sad-tale yarn - the public versus private meanderings of the perpetrators - to clothe my now-exposed distrust of the legal system itself - from counselors to judges - spinning a futile wheel long past hope of justice if only to prove to myself that I’m not delusional. I don’t believe that I am. Then came this podcast. Andrew and Mary clearly unwind the complexity of Trump’s prosecution - connecting the heart of the case with the law. With their presentation, I feel I am hearing the strength of the law and the truth. Their kindness meets their concern, and their knowledge soothes this frazzled American. As I write, a verdict has come in. I’m terrified for the future of our Democracy, less for myself than future generations. May Democracy prevail. Best, One frightened senior citizen

    TDS at its finest
These people are ridiculous. Trump Derangement Syndrome at its core. Delete and move on. There is nothing substantial here.

    Thank You!
How to emphasize the value of this podcast? It’s thoughtful and funny; concise and illuminating; it speaks to a legal expert and a legal novice, it speaks to the listener with respect. I wait for it eagerly and I benefit from it greatly. I am indebted and grateful!

    Priceless!!
The expertise and wisdom of these two legal stalwarts is a treasure. Thank you both! You have helped me (mostly) keep my sanity through this surreal situation.

Love the commentary from these two so much. Common sense and plain language and I’ve listened to every episode.

Makes important content accessible and fun
I really appreciate this podcast and look forward to each episode. Andrew and Mary balance each other well. This show keeps me posted on the important news from the trials via succinct, digestible packets. I’ve learned so much from these two people about our legal system. I love the inside baseball of it all. I have come to trust their experience. Bonus: they aren’t afraid to be themselves, to inject some humor, and to admit when they don’t know something. How refreshing. Sidebar- this whole subject is terrifyingly existential and I hope our legal system can protect our dear Republic. Can we talk about some reforms, please? Signed, My Nerves are Shot 😬

Your broadcasts are so loaded with information, and so well explained that I actually enjoy listening several times. You’ve increased my legal vocabulary and I have a far better understanding of what is happening in the array of Trump trials

I really enjoy hearing your legal analysis. Your insights are educational.I appreciate how concisely you articulate the key points. Love this podcast!

    Brilliant!
This is an engrossing listen. Andrew Weissmann is engaging and fun with his obvious love of the law, with all its intricacies and giving meaning to what the rule of law means for all of us. He sometimes relates his past experiences as a trial lawyer which are always enjoyable and oftentimes funny. I also love Mary McCord, these two are both smart, talented, enlightening; interpreting what I need to know. I am learning so much and sometimes regretting I didn’t choose law as a career. It’s like a brilliant game of chess which requires skill, talent, hard work, psychology and a bit of mettle!

Great coverage-professional legal point of view
I pounce on new episodes to help make sense of what is happening in the news regarding the trials. I am curious about your point of view on Cohen admitting to (and the defense drawing attention to) the theft of $30kX2. Doesn’t that amount to the defense admitting that the payments were in fact reimbursements and not monthly retainer payments? It seemed to me that they were undermining the key point of their defense by leaning on the omission that he cut a better deal and ultimate theft by Cohen. You can’t steal your legal retainer, and the defense can’t have it both ways. Great show, and congrats on the Webbie! Sincerely, Curious Listener

Two chatty nimwits who seem to actually believe they’re unbiased. Tune in for subjective commentary like “guilty beyond a reasonable doubt!” before the defense has even presented its case.

Substantive info instead of most podcasts just rehashing
Mary insists on calling the defendant “Mr. Trump”. Why not call him by his name or “this defendant. We the People are weary of the reverence this con man gets and are just so sick of this serial cheat and liar.

    Excellent podcast
I appreciate the analysis that goes deep into the weeds. But please stop calling the ex president “Mr. Trump.” He doesn’t deserve the courtesy title!

    Excellent analysis
No nonsense analysis from two experienced prosecutors. I listen to a lot of podcasts on the trial and this is the best for an objective review of how the trial is going, what is going on and what to expect.

During such a historical case, this is such a helpful discussion to truly understand the judicial system with you two. Many thanks.

Trying to follow along but the constant interruptions between you two make it hard to keep up. Please let each other finish a thought for once. We know you agree with each other so the constant “right” is just disruptive
