Thus far there’s been three episodes and I have listened to two. I skipped the second one because the guest had just been the guest on another podcast. And therein lies my one issue with this podcast out of the gate. How many times do we need to hear the same people being interviewed? The world of card collecting is more than just this rotating group who constantly interview each other back and forth. Now. I get that if you want to make noise with a new podcast it helps bring on known commodities, but I would challenge the host to dig a little deeper. Maybe don’t be the 7,001st person to interview Drake’s PC. Find that person with a unique and interesting collection but only 300 followers and no podcast. Someone who doesn’t just research “what are the most popular / expensive cards?” then buy them. Find some people who go beyond. Let’s hear their more unique stories. That could be pretty cool.
