    Not a Pushover
Alex has always been great, especially appreciate him not giving people like Dr. Janis Whitlock easy questions or letting them just ignore the reality of the situation. His AI only episodes weren’t the best but interviews with people always engaging.

    Arguing with AI now?
Why does he insist on making us listen to 20 minutes of him arguing with an AI bot? It can be hard enough listening to him argue with his own guests but really Alex, this is too much. I still enjoy the discussions at times but these AI intros are the worst.

    Not skeptical
Appeals to authorities, not really skeptical as he claims. Let’s others think for him.

    Mind-blowing (often argumentative) interviews
I highly recommend the host book, WHY SCIENCE IS WRONG... About Almost Everything Like a lot of podcasters' books, this one is largely comprised of excerpts from interviews. You might say, "Why read this book when I could just listen to the interviews?" There are over 500 Skeptiko interviews, do you got that kind of listening time on your hands? Also, Alex can be an abrasive interviewer, you might not want to spend dozens of hours of your life listening to him argue with people.

    Skeptical of skeptico
As someone who is interested in parapsychology it is sad to see a grifter in the midst

    Interesting but intellectually dishonest
I will continue to listen to this bc it is quite interesting but Alex holds guests to wildly different standards of facts and proof dependent on what his own beliefs are. Example he shuts down some guests - and then let’s other ramble on and on about stuff with zero evidence/ facts at all. This would be fine except for the fact that he touts his reliance on facts and data.

    No bueno
Occasionally interesting but the host is such an arrogant jerk that its nauseating.

    Amazing Show
Alex where you at bud? We need you on the wall!
  • Truth_34
    Intellectually dishonest
If you want to understand the science of virology (or lack thereof), interview someone like Dr. Andrew Kaufman or Dr. Tom Cowan. Oh that’s right, you did interview Cowan and it lasted 5 minutes because you lack the intellectual honesty to listen to a point of view that challenges your paradigm. “Flat Earth Science”… what a joke.

    Skepti-no?
In the 50+ episodes I’ve listened to, I’ve come to think there is less room for skepticism than he would like to believe himself. I’ll continue listening and appreciate the content.

Out of Dozens of Pods I listen to One of the Best!
Alex is one of the best at challenging his guests which not many hosts do. It makes for amazing conversations, along with interesting topics and Alex’s views on religion make this one of my favorite podcasts of all.

    Weak
I came to hear a specific guest. The host was to weak to be open minded so he cut up the interview to interject his own egoic beliefs. Probably in response to all the reviews accusing him of interrupting.

    This show!!!
This podcast is a provokingly exciting exercise in critical thinking. Thank you. However, the narrative on SD is in error. It did in fact shut things down. Schools, businesses, and healthcare facilities were extremely proactive initially in addressing the potential dangers presented by Covid. Evidently, the governor received talking points from her corporate overlords stopped any proactivity She has been gruesomely gaslighting for months. The devastation that has been wreaked by this sickness, the vile canards promoted by the state’s elected officials, and deep corruption are incalculable. Thank you for allowing me to clarify.

Great content! However, great shows are ruined by poor audio. Host had greats sound; but often the guest is remote with Inconsistent quality… boomy, echo, and at times garbled. Hoping the podcast industry can keep all shows a pleasure to listen too!
  • thedonald.win
    He’s obnoxious
It often a very cringy listen. Alex is also unbending in his strong opinions debates people trying to have a conversation.

    Excellent discussions
Your interview with Mark Gober was one of the best I have heard. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

    Top notch
No nerf passes here. Alex challenges his guests. We call it getting skeptico’d

    Awesome Shoe
Love it. can’t get enough. My absolute favorite podcast! Always an interesting topic and guest. Alex doesn’t hold back and that is refreshing. I usually agree with his opinion but even if I don’t I’m glad he gives it. This irritates some but it’s what sets him apart from most others. The only thing on my level!
  • Dogfeat
    Close minded nonsense
The host of this show tries to come across as an open minded skeptic, but he shows his true colors quickly when something comes up he seems to think is frivolous- FAKE, he seems fake to me and disingenuous which in today’s world, I don’t have any time for. I’m really disappointed because I thought he was different.
  • Suzikynn541
    Alex is a jerk
He’s rude, he interrupts, he often tries to throw his guests off by answering questions that only relate to whatever tantrum he’s currently throwing. Try New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove, if you enjoy these topics, discussed intelligently and with mutual respect.
  • Krispiest
    Terrible Host
I am amazed that this guy manages to attract the caliber of guests that he does because he is an awful host. Rude, argumentative and quite often completely incorrect about whatever it is he’s yammering on about. Such a shame...this could be an amazing podcast if the host wasn’t such an annoying asshat.
  • Biscotti454
One star people are A holes!
This show is great this guy knows his stuff. If you gave a one star rating you are a very low I Q individual!
  • whitness tha shine
    Thank the lord
I haven’t heard such strong, thoughtful content ever. An unapologetic search for truth; even if being honest and curious spurns you from family, friends and society. I love the way the host rips apart every persons ideology, with the respect of making them accountable for their convictions and genuinely seeking truth. I’m a mystic, an abuse victim and intellectually starving. This is the mind medicine I’ve been asking for. Thanks and blessings.

What an absolute d***. This guy has people on his show just to be contrary. I found him on Tinfoil Hat. Was cool on there so I figured I had another Podcast to follow. Nah, I’m good. Enough negativity in the world to listen this fool that likes to hear himself talk. Gave it one star cause I couldn’t do no stars.
  • RunningBull1966
    Host is full of himself
If you’re going to have a guess let them speak. Who cares about Josephus? Your guess, Whitley wanted to talk about Jesus. But instead, you use a false argument about Josephus and Pontus Pilate. If I was Whitley, I would have ended the interview. People of your kind, self aggrandizing, want to be intellectual, telling us we all have it wrong and your opinions are the only ones that mattes, can just go back to your mommies and grow up.
  • carlbakerlandscaper
    So unprofessional
Never wrote a podcast review and had to because of the unprofessionalism of Alex right from the start of this interview was very negative. I came here because I listened to him with Greg Carlwood and wanted to hear his other shows. Whitley is on a book tour making his rounds and Alex has to hammer Whitley about his knowledge of Josephus throughout the time I listened and would not move on, even when asked several times. If this was a boxing match Alex got KO’ed in the first round, Whitley had to correct Alex on several occasions - Alex even saying at one point “ I miss spoke”, I actually have a new respect for Whitley after this interview he was so knowledgeable. As for This interviewer Alex, I found him to be foul mouthed and pompous, he was defiantly reading his facts from a screen throughout his conversation and thankfully Whitney was there to correct him, This is what happens when you mix mental illness and narcissism. And to use the word “grokking ” in his description of this show meaning “ To comprehend something fully usually with the help of intuition or empathy “ while talking about this subject should have been our first clue
  • Wanman0813
No! Let me tell you how your book should be written
I heard Alex on Higherside Chats so I decided to give the podcast a try. I don’t know the history of the podcast but seriously what a waste of time. I listened to the Whitley Strieber episode and all Alex wanted to do is correct Whitley about how Whitley should have written his book. Alex was so fixated on his perspective, correcting his guest and trying to prove himself right he’s obnoxious.
  • TacomaBoyzz
    Hey Alex
THC brought me here. You have a nice voice and I’m happy to hear what you have to say. 5 stars to you.
  • JediYaris
    Skeptic of Skeptiko
Being capable of formulated thought and argument is key to argument. Being able to avoid logical fallacies not a strong suit of the show. Most often among Skeptics and Religious Atheists is a collapse into ad hominem argument. It is the strongest reaction to illogical behavior within the Atheist community. That being said, if people cannot handle listening to an adult share an experience, or articulate his confirmation bias listening to your safe and fuzzy lovey dovey world view echo chamber is probably where you need to be. Five stars for being an egotistical skeptical atheist attacking the last bastion: Christianity. If the author was racist he’d no longer be online.

    Alex is the man!
The big influx of bad reviews is rather odd? If you don’t like his style find something else! I love the show Alex your an amazing host don’t change a thing and keep it up brother!!!

    This is 5 Stars
A lot of hatters and Bot. Check out the the podcast yourself thank you Alex!
  • ShaneTheThinker
    Excellent Podcast!
Don’t listen to the naysayers! This is my favorite podcast, and the Skeptiko forum is second to none! Also, Alex’s method of inquiry is unique, entertaining, challenging, and above all else, AUTHENTIC!

    Excellent Deep Dive
The few shows that I’ve listened-to so far have been very interesting and I can relate to the host’s line of questioning. I believe that he is genuine and people will either love or hate this show. Either-way, there’s much to gain here from a learning perspective.
  • jeframp
    Rarity these days
Listened to the Chris Knowles episode. The host provides a general skepticism toward the cult of ‘Science’ that so many hold onto. Figured I would write a review for a good podcast that is neither Q-material nor trusting in financially backed ‘science’. In defense of the middle ground similar to The Higherside Chats and Corbett Report. Great stuff that has become rare the last few years.

Idiot Opinions on Climate Science and COVID-19
I like the guests some of greatest in the field. Now is inviting idiots like David Ike and brain dead conspiracy nuts. What really pisses off is denials of climate science and his harmful and stupid views on COVID-19 especially his opinion against wearing mask. He is barely intelligent enough to make some of his shows bearable. It’s his choice of guests that make his show worth listening to sometimes.

    Dan James
The show/podcast has value in Alex covers a huge host of outlier topics, including parapsychology, philosophy, meditation, UFO’s, NDEs, conspiracy theories etc. Some of the earlier interviews are extremely good, so I give it 2 stars. However, in the last year, the forum and host Alex has railed against climate change science, wearing masks, and US COVID policies. Fauci and Bill Gates are up to no good and the Plandemic Conspiracy is embraced along with aspects aspects of QAnon. In past years there was a more eclectic interchange of ideas. Now its just a small collection of anti-intellectual shills. Mary Fury's review hit a home run. Its a shame.
  • CreatorNate
    More like Creduloso
What is this guy supposed to be skeptical about—just everything said by officials and experts? Because he seems totally credulous about any conspiracy. "Plandemic?" Really?
  • 3vo!vE
Somebody should wash his mouth out with soap
The host’s endless ejaculation of profanities is so ugly but he probably thinks he’s totally cool.

    Five Stars
So many people complaining about Alex arguing with the guests, but I often find myself yelling the same things almost simultaneously. I love the show- interesting topics and great guests.
  • SamNash01
    Going downhill fast
This show, once interesting, has lost it’s way by getting into ridiculous conspiracy theories like David Icke and QAnon.
  • Rose Fury
    Want to Love this Show
The host is augmentative with anyone that doesn’t agree with him to the point of laughing and ridiculing them. What he doesn’t realize is that by doing that he’s laughing at and ridiculing the listeners that don’t slavishly believe every conspiracy theory he adheres to. It’s a bit of a turnoff as I suspect that he asks people on his show with a pre-loaded agenda. He’s not interested in actually learning from them or even engaging in a serious debate. As one guest said he felt like he “was trapped in the comments section of a Facebook” post.
  • Huacha215
    Alex is great
    Love the show
  • dashizzzzzel
    wow terrible
just listened to one episode, the host is trying to prove he’s right, not letting the guest even discuss their ideas

    Could the host be wrong?
