otherdocA Monkey on My BackI highly recommend Monkeys Took My Jetpack. Of all the actual play podcasts I've listened to, this one has proven to be the most addictive. The cast is unbelievably entertaining. Is it possible to freebase this podcast? Because I just might try. ;)

mogilletteAlways great! The Jetpackless are always great for a laugh. Well, more than one single laugh, they are great for side-splitting, gut-busting, falling over in your chair hilarious antics. One episode is enough to get you hooked on the fearsome fivesome and their RPG madness. So download and listen already!

Obvious RayImpossibleThis show is impossible to stop listening to once you start! Nickie's entertaining quips, BlindGeeks bad puns, Josh's random thoughts, Chris's nonchalant way of saying insane things, and Pat's (My personal Favorites) clever wit hook you from the first game and keep the laughs coming! Definitely worth getting addicted to!

mmmmmpigwell-played... see what I did there? It is a pun.. they play rpg's and stuffThis is a well produced and wonderful podcast of a virtual table of gamers playing various role playing games. If I had not listened to this podcast, I would be unaware of a multitude of games and gaming systems. My life would be sadder without that knowledge. Every memeber of this cast is stellar, especially the cast member who reads this in their feedback section. That person is clearly my favorite because of how smart and humorous they are, and how their character did that thing to the stuff. That was good, favorite cast member. You are aces!

Lockjaw92Blaze of GreatnessFollowing originally in the amazingness of the Gutter Skypes, these guys blaze their own trail of hilarity and fun. They may have been mach 2 but they are definately worthy of their own show!

SmallhoofConfusing Title, but A Great ListenI was originally drawn to this show after my therapists pointed it out to me. She believed it would help me overcome trauma I had experienced from a similar incident of primate perpetrated aeronautic assault. Imagine my surprise when instead of a support group for victims of monkey mayhem I heard one of the best actual play podcasts available. If you enjoy fun you will enjoy this podcast.

anim5Madness, Dice and Quality! The new standard of excellence in Actual Play RPG podcasts has been set. "Monkeys Took My Jetpack" is the result of a "Podcasting Perfect Storm" combining the creative insanity of Chris, Nikki, Josh, Pat and BlindGeek as they craft their stories and characters, using the Role Playing Game as their launch point. The roll of the dice throws the curves in the road and the spins on the ball. And the final, but vital ingrediant that sets this audio gem at the top of the list of game-listening fun is the meticulous and expert enhancement in post-production. BlindGeek's Music choices, sound effects, vocal modifications and editing display a clear love for the gaming experience, as well as a rare application of time and expertise to deliver a Podcast of such high production value and entertainment gold, that No One Else comes near it! Why are you reading this still? Start downloading every show on the List! It is SUPERB!

bislabMTMJ love! You guys are the best for long car rides and longer hours at work! If you like to listen to stories, centered around role playing game or not, these guys have what it takes to keep you coming back for more. If you DO listen to other actual play podcasts, give these guys a try. While they are playing RPGs and you do get a pretty clear idea of how the mechanics work, they never let them get in the way of telling a good story.

BrisbeThis podcast is crazy. I like that. This podcast features a bunch of crazy people, playing RPGs. From Nikki the irrepressible, to the grumpy (but lovable) Chris, to the crazy punnishment meted out by Josh, all the players are the right brand of crazy to make for wonderful adventures. But to make things even better, Blindgeek throws in sound effects left and right with crazy precision, to add to the fun of each adventure. Along with the Gutter Skypes, this should be an instant addition to any RPG fan's collection. Now if I could just get into a group half as fun as this... ;)

RamblinGrumpBe careful this podcast is addictingGreat actual play podcast, with minimal rules discussions and plenty of very imaginative game play sessions, this podcast is great fun just to listen to. The humor is infectous and has many times caused me to break out laughing while listening. I look forward to each new segment. It has also makes a great tool for helping others understand what role-playing games can be. Share this with your friends that couldn’t get in to D&D or with friends that have never tried a table top role-playing game.

xofourBetter than I can describeIf you are like me, you don't read these reviews anyway. But if you are not like me, let me explain why Monkeys Took my Jetpack is a podcast worth your time. Unlike many other actual play podcasts out there, you will not get explanations of rules, nor tips on "making your character come alive." Rather what you get is a podcast which will show you (and anybody you are trying to convince to join your rpg group) why you want to play role playing games. This group of incredibly talented and creative individuals get together for role playing fun and actually invite us to come along. But better than that. Not only do they share the fun with, but they invite listeners to join in the fun. Audience participation is not merely allowed, it is encouraged. They read and share all of their show related listener feedback. They host forums in which the entire cast actively participates. So, if you are looking for a sophisticated, intellectual actual play podcast..well good luck with that anywhere. But if you want to have some fun, and show other people what an rpg experience should be. Listen to, and share Monkeys took my jetpack. (and to be completely honest also check out the gutterskypes the podcast which launched monkeys took my jetpack and contains much the same sort of fun.)
