The Nourish Balance Thrive podcast is designed to help you perform better. Christopher Kelly, your host, is a co-founder at Nourish Balance Thrive, an online clinic using advanced biochemical testing to help athletes overcome chronic health complaints and improve performance. On the podcast, Chris interviews leading minds in medicine, nutrition and health, as well as world-class athletes and members of the NBT team, to give you up-to-date information on the lifestyle changes and personalized techniques being used to make people go faster – from weekend warriors to Olympians and world champions.

    Burn Episode Was a Disservice
    Eat less move more. Calories in calories out. The body adapts but the body doesn’t adapt. The answer is simple but the body is complex and we don’t understand. Hormonal response to foods are irrelevant to weight loss, but sometimes hormones are important. This episode was more of the traditional garbage that has left so many of us damaged by the SAD lifestyle to give up hope. Well from one who reversed type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome 4 years ago, there is hope. It starts by ignoring this simplistic garbage.

    Long-time health enthusiast. Been listening to NBT for quite some time and it’s safe to say that this is by far the best health and wellness podcast out there. Chris Kelly is an engaging and interesting host with good sense of humor. The only downfall of the show is that it’s only once a week. Keep up the good work!

    Well-informed interviewer and excellent show notes
    As a health-conscious person, I have found the podcasts to be very informative. The podcast host seems to have prepared himself very well, but he gives plenty of space for the guests to make their points. A real highlight for me are the show notes, which link to all of the studies that the guests mention. For those among us who are inveterate nerds, that is real gold! If this description intrigues you, give the podcast a try.

    Nourish your mind (and body)
    I’ve been attempting to fine-tune my “media diet” – purging the junk (i.e., Twitter) and adding some potent “supplements.” Using this analogy, the NBT podcast is a superfood of sorts. It’s not just another paleo podcast rehashing the same debates people have been having since 2008. Every episode provides a fresh perspective with something new and surprising (micronutrients??). Okay, enough of the bad analogy… LISTEN!

    I am not an athlete. I am a slightly overweight, thirty-something woman, but I really enjoy this podcast. My health has been kind of on the back burner as I have spent the last couple of years working full-time and also working on a doctorate in education. While biology is definitely not my interest, this podcast presents health-related science in a very understandable and engaging way. I came to learn about this podcast from the minimalists about a year ago. I have really enjoyed learning new things about the human body. While I’m not about to become paleo, I do follow a low fodmap diet - which I started before listening to the podcast. It is nice to have a place to listen about other people’s journeys and important research. Thank you!

Their indepth looks at the various underlying, root causes that negatively impact our health have helped me a lot, from getting an organic acids test, to mixing magnesium with my spinach, to even helping heal some strange rashes my daugther was getting.     I love this podcast so much. These guys do their research. I learn so much from every podcast. And, they're fun! See, I thought broccoli sprouts was the way to go to get your sufurophane. Today I learned that you can use the broccoli seeds. So much simpler!
