Zabby2019My GuruRob Bell is the equivalent of my guru. No, he doesn’t call himself that. And that’s the best part. He’s just a dude speaking from the heart and an immense well of wisdom. It’s definitely not Rob Bells first round at life on earth he is an old and ancient soul and gives water to my soul! Rob Bell has changed my life. The only thing I ask, in case Rob is reading this, is that you stop saying “yeah” as a filler word. I’m not sure when this started, but it’s so annoying and distracting and I feel it dilutes the art form of your messages. I tried sending my brother your 2025 talks and he couldn’t get through them because of this little quirk Rob has picked up ;)

Danielle Morgan from OklahomaSoul foodThere’s no other podcast like this one, no other teacher like Rob Bell. His words soothe, teach, and inspire. His spiritual practice has went beyond abstraction and into his life. He doesn’t have to talk about it for you to feel it.

LaurengoodsListened since the beginningI love this podcast always, been here since the beginning episodes and still love hearing your thoughts Rob. You have brought me comfort in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep. Truly. Thank you so much. 🙏

Rube89CuriousStarted reading his books decades ago: realized then that I’m of his tribe. Fast forward years later, heard that he had interviewed the late Bishop Carlton Pearson in a podcast. Heard the interview and I’ve been a fan since. He’s curious, open-minded and unafraid to broach topics that the vast majority of Christian aren’t willing to do. I learned that Robb Bell and I are still of the same tribe.

Big John the wonderfulRob bellI was excited to see Rob Bell in Memphis a few years ago until he started bashing President Trump at the event. Now that Biden has brought so much damage to America, Bell clearly knows little about politics and what has made America such a great country. I now wonder if his Bible basics are as flawed as his politics and therefore no longer trust or admire him. John Candy Florida

Second row marsAll of them!Greetings from hometown mitten. Calvary, Dobson, Mars, Love Win, LA to Robcast! Huge Rob Bell fan. I’ve enjoyed Rob grow up and keeping it real. Permission to power down! Love it!

Teacher@17Best Spiritual Guide For MeI appreciate Rob Bell because many times he says exactly what I have been thinking for a long time. I just didn't have the words strung together yet. I appreciate that he has had Father Richard Rohr on as well as Alexander Shaia. Listen with an open mind and I believe you will gain the insight you've been longing for.

Colbat colored gumIt’s a journey that’s for sure! With this latest podcast, it’s clear Rob has been experiencing the same existential crisis as I have. He’s in it. Pretty honest. Realizing it’s all been a bit b.s. is tough. Getting through to the other side should be amazing. So, if you’re feeling things are not as you thought, check out Rob Bell.

LakepenThrough the yearsI have followed Rob for more years than I can remember. He is authentic, funny, wise and compassionate. his storytelling genius offers something for everyone. and yet it feels like he’s speaking directly to me when I listen to his podcast. thank you Rob Bell for walking with us all through all the transitions and providing hope in the smallest crevices of sometimes seemingly dark universe.

Yo Momma 4579459770383A parody of himselfRob Bell is one of those guys who somehow uses a ton of words to say absolutely nothing. He’s really good at sounding profound, when in reality nothing he says makes sense. Rob Bell has become a parody of Rob Bell

zzzzvvvvxxxxBetter than everListened for a while. Stopped for a while. Now I’m back again. I kinda like these latest podcasts even better than before so I’m gonna follow it again. Rob, I like your latest episodes. In the older ep’s, you used to make statements that seemed personal and instead of speaking in 1st person you would speak in 3rd. Now I love how you’re taking ownership of your stories and your feelings. It’s persinal to YOU and authentic which makes your messages so much more impactful. And your messages are so much clearer and succinct. I think you’ve reached the next master-level of your craft. But you’re never afraid to become a beginner too, which makes you so much more authentic, raw and real.

Cathy-ma108Thank you!!!!My intuition led me back to your podcast yesterday. It’s been a minute! Your message on sign and scale was POWERFUL! I realized I had been stuck creatively because I had been so focused on the numbers that I couldn’t access the gratitude for what is right in front of me! I was giving my power away to the lack of numbers! This was a true “return to love” moment. Thanks Rob!

Xfinity playerSon of a JudgeOne of the best podcast episodes I have ever “experienced,” because I have lived through it twice, with each of my parents. Driving home from work in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with everything a little blurry because of the tears. I needed this. Thank you, Rob.

AngelblueCambridgeROB BELL FOREVERI feel bad it’s taken me 6+ (??!) years to write a review. Rob is a constant source of peace and relief and joy in my life. Rob - thanks for being YOU! 🎉

becky0237Like hanging out with a good friendHave you ever been having a bad day, then spent time with a good friend and they just made you feel better? They gave you a better perspective, or their joy just rubbed off, or they reminded you that you actually do know what you’re doing, or they had something really interesting and random to say that snapped your brain out of ruminating and gave you something better to think about. Listening to the robcast is like taking a break from life and having a cup of coffee with that friend. Rob, thanks for being brave enough to sit at a desk made from a door in your garage, record your thoughts, and share them them.

worldchanger247Layered Nuggets of WisdomListen. Enjoy. Immerse. Drink in. Embody. Rob’s free spirit, brilliance, and love of humanity birth nuggets of freedom. The nuggets stick. They’ve helped me see truth, learn & unlearn, shed, & change my life, on repeat. Tune in and glean with open hearted willingness. I don’t see how it’s possible to remain unchanged. I am grateful beyond for this gift. Thank you Rob Bell for your essence, journey, & sharing.

likeapaperairplaneDelight on the JourneyI lost track of Rob Bell several years ago when I couldn’t handle my unfulfilling church scene anymore. A couple of days ago, while seeking a new audiobook, Love Wins magically appeared in my library so I listened. Devoured it really. Now I’m here and I started back at Episode 1 and I just can’t stop listening. Dripping richly with divinity and direction. So many ideas and recommended authors to continue the adventure.

crzmcsadly declinedThis used to be an amazing podcast, full of honesty, humility, generosity of spirit and fresh ideas/interpretations of Scripture. I especially loved Rob’s sermons, and conversations with thinkers like Alexander Shaia and Pete Rollins. Perhaps it was the pandemic that shrank Rob’s life and scope and thinking. But his privileged life in California seems to have made him less charitable, and more likely to indulge his wife and son, who have no training or experience to make them valuable guest speakers. He seems to have lost the discipline of expository preaching, and now mostly rambles about his own experiences, with little value to other listeners. There have been no series in a long time, no deep dives into universally important questions. The contribution Rob made in the past is not a small thing. I used to feel he was a pastor to me. I miss his good work, and I hope he can turn himself around. I’d love to see him do a graduate degree in a new field or take a year and serve as a hospital or prison chaplain—do some real, new thinking and/or real, valuable service in the real world where he would encounter people in need, and have the accountability of operating under someone else’s supervision…

nojogoeYes! Another RobCastI can’t begin to tell you the excitement I have when a new RobCast shows up on my feed. So many times, I have been eased back into my humanity, laughed at my own assumptions and just felt more “normal” after listening. While driving, I’ve been known to say loudly “YES Rob Bell!” and thanking God for him and his insight. This is an excellent podcast and my very first choice listen as soon as it comes out. Rob is an authentic, kind person having a spiritual experience and helping us do the same. THANK YOU ROB BELL!!

Connection is MagicDisappointingMet him in person and felt an arrogance that was unsettling.

iZhenia217So much 💚 hereThe robcast is the only podcast that I can’t wait to get a notification from when a new one comes out. Rob Bell has so much heart and is such a creative, inspiring and thought provoking person. I was raised without religion and yet I reach for his words and the way he talks about the Bible and God. To me, he is a mystic and a healer. I love his sermons the most and the series he used to do on Lamenting, The God series, etc. He’s also a real human being who changes and shifts and I love listening to the new stuff he tries; what a creative and beautiful soul!

Sissarae27BewareRead God’s Word for yourself, friends. This man does not speak the Truth found in all of Scripture.

TheColeySpirit1The Alexander Shaia episode is life changingThe interview with Alexander Shaia (on 12/11/2017) about Christmas is the deepest teaching I’ve ever heard.

ajoydiditYessssssSo much soulfulness to sit with, wrestle, and explore...if you’re willing, ready, and able to. Keep on keeping on Rob! From a fellow Michigander 💙

CAgirl8208I feel like Rob Bell expresses all of the "good" that religious teachings have to offer with none...If I could find some kind of church where the pastor/teacher and congregation viewed scriptures in the way that Rob Bell does in his books and podcasts, I would be thrilled to join. The episode "The Last Guru" with guest Pete Rollins was one of his best. They discuss psychology, philosophy and theology in a seamless and humorous conversation based on their incredible rapport. If it is too extreme to call Rob a modern-day prophet (he would laugh at this), then at least he's a visionary and a person of great intellect, heart, and endless creativity. He's also very funny, and although I listen to a variety of well-produced and thoughtul podcasts, it is Rob Bell who most lifts me up in my many times of despair. I consider myself a skeptic/non-religious person who nontheless realizes we all have a spiritual element to our existence. If you are looking for something that satifies that itch where the speaker doesn't simply say "X is true becuase the Bible says so" then you might find that Rob's invitation for us to draw on our collective wisdom over the ages and then figure things out for ourselves going forward (as I interpret it) is truly a messsage of hope for us all.
-
dmspatQuote YourselfOne of my absolute favorite episodes!!! I want to listen over and over!!! I rarely share podcasts, this one needs to be shared!!! Thanks Rob for lifting others to their fullest!!! lucyroxStorytellingThis episode is awesome for me. I have just experienced a home envision from a stranger. He beat me physically , his intent was to kill me. God told him to kill someone this night. Anyway this podcast helped me so much to gather more understanding. At times I felt you both speaking to me. Loved loved loved this episode. TimtiodesGateway PodcastThank you Rob Bell for being you!! The Robcast is the first “podcast” I truly explored and every one of your shows was a journey of thought, joy, and awakening for me. Your guests, your ideas, and your deeply held faith in who you are inspired me to wake up and find purpose and meaning in my life. You challenged deeply held beliefs that stifled much of who I was and, because of you, my trajectory in life is much different than it was. Thank you for being you. I truly look forward to hearing new material whenever you can get it out there.

ADE's123'sPure GoldI’ve never met this man but I love his soul. I’m so grateful for his journey! I appreciate how he’s shares all he’s learning along the way. The wisdom he shares is at the deepest soul level. So profound yet so basic.

token experimentA Christian mysticNot your typical view of the Bible and it’s teachings. He pulls from many different religious traditions to give color and depth and, most importantly, context to find the meaning and truth of Christianity.

lala34mcAlways groundingI’ve listened to this show since it came out. Rob’s work has been a steady voice of sanity, reverence, spaciousness, and love. The one star reviews are kind of funny (sad). People are mad that he took a political stance against their beloved horror of a human that happened to be president for a time, claiming Rob “used to be about love but now they can’t trust him.” Love isn’t complacency, folks. Keep going, Rob. Your work has been a huge part of my growth.

CrystalmittenSuper fanThe RobCast makes Monday mornings a lot more exciting. I look forward to hearing his wisdom and insights each week. He has a way of explaining profound ideas so that you can actually digest and ponder it for yourself. Review #2 My first review (above) comes from 2013ish I think? This review comes from 2022…. Rob speaks to what’s going on in my heart and mind more than anyone else. He just seems to get me. He challenges me to wrestle with things and really embrace what’s going on in me and in my life. I end most of his podcasts feelings bits of growth emerging within me which I really appreciate. I love his take on the Jesus story, the Bible, and life in general. Thanks RB!! You’re a gift.

Recovering EvangelicalNot sure I get the appealThere are ideas of Rob’s that resonate with me, but I feel like I’m rehashing youth group content from decades ago. I don’t get the appeal that lead him to have such an influence on spiritual matters. I’m also naturally leery of people who become guru type figures. It’s fascinating to see how he’s able to get people to come hear him speak in so many other countries. Maybe I’m just jealous. Seems like a great gig. Maybe this IS the Information Age. This isn’t a dig on Rob. Mostly on those that are so taken by his ideas that he has this platform. I have similar thoughts about people like Don Miller. At least the podcasts are short.

Owl lifeThere are no tangents -confidenceLove the there are no tangents episode. Also love the idea of confidence being able to try. I think the bridge to arrogance probably has to do with if it works or doesn’t work widely impacts our worth. Probably because our worth is something we think we have to be in control of….

Queenrae74Dad smilesIt’s a joy to watch our babies do great things! I feel the love you have while you enjoy having an adult conversation with your kiddo! You mentioned some authors & I was wondering if you could site them for my own reading desires? Is that too much? With gratitude and smiles

CatyePalPolysymphonic SpreeGreta analysis of the circumstances. Unrelated to the topic. I saw Polysymphonic Spree in concert in Brooklyn. The opening act was Harper Simon. We looked up who that was, only to find out it was Paul Simon’s son. That’s when we noticed Paul Simon, THE Paul Simon was standing next to us. We got a picture after and complimented his son to him. Surreal!

shanghaimomDescriptions please!I’ve been a Rob Bell fan for almost two decades, but in the past year or so I’ve stopped listening to The Robcast because there are no descriptions of what any specific episode is about. And the titles of course give no clue. I currently have 42 podcasts in my library, all of which great decent descriptions for each episode. I’m not in love with any podcaster enough to listen to everything they broadcast, and I don’t have time to listen to that many podcasts anyway. Please give people like me some help and give a description for each episode. Please! Oh and bring back Sunday sermons!
