bobertasmallsLove this podcast! Much needed refresher!Thank you for the time put in to deliver truths. This podcast has been extremely helpful to me as my husband and I have drastically different church origins which leads to disagreements. Listening has been a refresher course so I can better articulate my beliefs and point to scripture with confidence. Thanks again for all you’re doing!

Capt Kirk HTXYour Lutheran Re-Catechesis!Fantastic podcast! Ran across it last year when I started asking questions about the faith of my baptism (LCMS) and picked up a copy of Luther’s Small Catechism. Having never read through or even seen the catechism before (we didn’t have one at home except for my dad’s from the 1950s, and I honestly can’t remember using it in confirmation :/ ), I was a bit intimidated when I bought it, as I wasn’t sure how quickly to go through it, who to look to for interpretive guidance and clarification (was embarrassed to admit my poor catechesis to my pastor), how the different sections tie together, etc. Safe to say this podcast has been the perfect accompaniment! Pastors Jason, Brett, and Brian have natural rapport and find a great balance between technical, systematic theological discussion (thanks, Pastor Gudim), lightheartedness (thanks, Pastor Ricke), and relatable questions and discussion rooted in the Christian life (thanks, Pastor Boe). I can’t express how grateful I am for these men and for their 21st Century presentation of the material Luther brilliantly prepared nearly 500 years ago (1529). God is great! I would recommend this podcast to Lutheran high schoolers going through confirmation, Lutheran adults interested in relearning the faith, and especially to those outside of Lutheranism who wish to know what we truly believe and teach (as opposed to some caricature or straw man). God is great!

TebyrinLutherans & Friends: Get Your "Whys" AnsweredIf you found this podcast like I did by typing "Lutheran" into the podcast search bar, this is exactly what you are looking for: the complex theologies behind Lutheranism presented in an understandble and intelligent bite-sized format. Every question you might have about what Lutherans believe and its bearing on modern lives will probably be answered, and if not, they do Q & As! The hosts are thoughtful, passionate, and specific, and do a great job of providing historical and cultural context on all subjects discussed.

LI_NY07Bringing me back to the faithAs a cradle Lutheran, I’m finding the faith discussions invigorating and bringing me back to my faith. I haven’t been to Lutheran church in a while. I married a catholic and was considering that faith, but ultimately could not go through with it on many levels, mainly disagreeing with justification, mariology and papacy. All Lutherans should consider this podcast. It’s entertaining and theologically sound.

DE RECENSENT VAN PODCASTSSolid and efficientTheological commentary in twenty minutes.

XbethesdaxSolidarityAs a fellow Protestant who subscribes to the Westminster Confession of Faith, I have found this podcast very helpful in understanding the faith of my Lutheran brothers and sisters. This has been very edifying for myself with their willingness to handle the Lutheran doctrines in a way that is simple and easy to understand.

hummbeeflySolid teachingListening from the first episode in Nov daily until catching up with the most current episodes has ignited my determination to study the catechism again. I really appreciated the episodes on the commandments.

Alaska RyanThank YouJust started listening because of the interview with Flame. Decided to go back and listen starting with episode 1. Now I have a desire to go back and study a bit on the creeds. Looking forward to continue listening.

jpnickaBest Intro to Lutheranism that I've EncounteredI discovered this podcast a month ago while researching the Reformation's 500th anniversary. I can't think of a better place to start if you want to know the basics of Lutheran teaching. Episodes are concise and digestable, and Jason and Brett clearly know what they're talking about. Thanks for helping explain the Book of Concord with us, as I'm now seriously considering becoming a Lutheran myself. God Bless!

LeveyLaurenLutheran LivingI absolutely LOVE this podcast! Such good reminders of what we believe, & why!

Don'tKnowWhatIDoOrWhereI'mFromWhy does Lutheran theology matter?Being Lutheran isn't about shoving a theological system down someone's throat, it's about delivering Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your/my sins. It's about letting God's Word speak where it speaks and being silent where He is silent. This podcast has been beneficial as it teaches historic Lutheran theology not just from their own writings but, more importantly, from Scripture.

terriergalExcellent ! What it means to be LutheranEasy to digest short lessons in the Lutheran catechism. Really enjoying this.

Benjamin2017Excellent source of Lutheran teachingThis is an excellent podcast for those who wish to learn more about Lutheran doctrine and Christian theology. Jason and Brett are both very knowledgable and teach using the Bible as a primary source and the writings of Martin Luther and others to back up what they say. They even took the time to answer my question on one of their podcasts! Give them a listen.

LibbyMcCVery BeneficialA great podcast for Lutherans who want/need to better understand what it is to be Lutheran, not only for our own benefit, but also for those times when others ask "Why are you a Lutheran?" or "What's the difference between a Lutheran and [insert denomination here]?" Also great for those who aren't Lutheran but want to better understand Lutheran doctrines--how it's similar to other Christian denominations, but also how it differs.

KenMillerTime123Thank you!Thank you for kicking me in the butt and convicting me of my covetousness, which is idolatry! Thank you for properly distinguishing between Law and Gospel, that I was driven to repent without being driven to despair. Carry on, dudes!
