    Here for Carnazzo
Omg! Whenever I hear Tracey Carnazzo will be on a podcast I go right to it! She’s an amazing comedienne/gospel singer. I would punch gluten in the face for her. Great show, always have her on. Thanks

    Great Banter
I love watching this podcast on YouTube and also listening to it here when I’m driving or working. The banter between the host and the guest makes me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends. Sabino and Rocco are so fun and I wish I was friends with them in real life. I find myself including myself in the conversations while I listen. Haha!

    Love the storytelling episodes
Best one so far was sal abitello, also love leahscucina. The newscaster girl kept trying to run the show and talk about what she wanted to talk about even though it wasn’t relevant so not my favorite but everyone else has been amazing

    Fantastic
Why am I just now finding this podcast?! There are so many ways I relate to these guys. It’s so funny and heartfelt. Growing up Italian there were things I thought were just my Nonna and mom did. I didn’t realize so many other people were living my same life to a T!! If you’re Italian American you just know. My family came from Naples, grew up in Newark New Jersey and then relocated to Las Vegas and there are so many things that I miss. People on the west coast just don’t understand. This podcast makes me look forward to driving to work everyday. I love it.

Frank Pinello episode was the best yet. I’ve been listening for a while and I love the dynamic and your opinions when you really get into it. Keep it up.

    Growing up American?
Oddly enough, there aren’t any Italian people on the show and it’s all about Americans.

    Found this from Cug
I’m grown up, I’m not Italian. I found this from listening to your interview with Cug. You guys are just fun, and while I’m not Italian, it’s still easily relatable. Hope to check the deli out one day soon! Happy holidays all.

    Interesting But Could Be Better
Some interesting tidbits and recent immigrant perspective at times but unfortunately also has a lot of stereotypes that are more working class New York than anything actually Italian. The mixing of the two is really not helpful for breaking the image of Italians as solely characters from the Sopranos or Goodfellas. It would be useful if the hosts distinguished between which parts of their lives and world views are from being Italian (certain food, travel to Italy, language) and which parts are just socioeconomic (getting hit by your parents with kitchen utensils).
  • srkmeg
    What?
Way to insult 2nd & 3rd generation Italians in the first 5 minutes. Ugh
  • reaaaaally?
    Low EQ and outlook
This group lacks the emotional intelligence to realize the context for their own perspectives and world-view. Growing up in Brooklyn in the 90s is one thing. But it’s nothing like Italian immigrant experiences [almost] anywhere else. Maybe New Jersey (sigh). Last thing I listened to was about Italian people liking cake. Rubbish chat. Everyone likes cake. Stick to sandwiches.

    Insulting to real Italians
“If you’re second or third generation Italian, then you’re not really Italian” followed by similar insults and stereotypes. Those of us that are second and third generation Italians are the OG Italians here. Our grandparents and great grandparents came here, made something of themselves, fought in the world wars and passed on their traditions to us while giving us a better life. This podcast is rife with stereotypes and other nonsense that gives real Italians of all generations a bad name. A lot of it is just based on life in NY that all real NY’ers experience not just Italians.

    Keeping Italian-American Culture Alive
The crew at GUI really does a great job of keeping the traditions and realities of the Italian-American culture alive. The content is raw and honest based on their up brining and you have to appreciate that. Also, love the merch!

    DO NOT LISTEN
3 Words: DO NOT LISTEN. This podcast is horrible and so is the team behind it. So many other useful and realistic podcasts to listen to.
  • Candy Chrush guy
    Horrible
This entire podcast is a fraud. No morals or respect in real life. Children out of wedlock, getting the mother of the children pregnant again and totally dismissing her and the baby. Absolutely disgusting. Wouldn’t listen to this junk if you paid me. So fraudulent.. only looking to get your money

    Amazing
These guys never fail to make me smile, and are are always so relatable.

    ABSOLUTE TRASH
Please don’t waste your time listening to this bs. True italian values? how can someone who doesn’t raise his kids or want anything to do with them be in a podcast preaching to people about family values? Part time dad, total fake. The truth will always set you free
  • borninsicily
    Real reviews shouldn’t get removed!!
THIS IS A REAL REVIEW! Reality exists despite the facade that’s put on via social media! The same review keeps being removed and if it weren’t real and true, there would be NO REASON to keep trying to have reviews removed. LET THE PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUTH🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣 Sometimes you need to throw the whole thing away when there’s ONE BAD ROTTEN APPLE. is Sabino really on here discussing mental health and italian culture? my ears are BLEEDING. he has absolutely no morals or respect in real life. this is sickening to listen to. a “man” who has children out of wedlock and an unborn child that he wants nothing to do with is someone who’s really preaching about being a true italian ? where are the morals ? where’s the italian culture ? yea. i couldn’t figure it out either!!! anyhow, if your going to be on a podcast discussing the italian culture, morals, respect, family, ETC- than make sure you practice what you preach and live that exact lifestyle.. and if not, don’t be on a podcast for thousands of people to listen to fake crap. FRAUD. don’t waste your time. sadly had to leave one star, otherwise would’ve left NONE.

I absolutely love seeing the culture being passed on. Nowadays don’t see a lot of young kids doing this anymore. Keep it up growing up Italian! We’re rooting for you!

    Not just for Italians.
I’m not Italian but I love this podcast. Only negative thing is that they release a Episode once a week. I wish it was more often.

Great podcast. Talk about the Italian culture in different perspectives. Very funny and entertaining to listen too. Nice to hear people that went through the same experiences as myself growing up

An excellent podcast that's perfect to listen to on the go
There's always something alluring about hearing people talk about life from the perspective of their culture, and the small ways it relates to your own life - and Growing Up Italian really nails this. The guys behind the mic sound like they improv'd their way through 40 minutes of conversation, allowing their chemistry and their life experiences do the heavy lifting. it's a strength that makes listening extremely enjoyable - especially when you're in the middle of an exhaustive commute. The best part of the podcast is that, despite catering more towards an Italian demographic, is incredibly inviting. One show in particular, featuring Tony Guercio, covers weight loss and its trials and tribulations. On top of being insightful and very helpful, it's also very inspirational and encouraging. Shows like those heighten the. calming presence of the hosts, and make it easy to come back for more. I'm very happy I started trying out this podcast. Keep going strong, guys!

    Growing Up Italian #1
I just had a chance to listen to the last podcast episode and it was fire. Love the content, love how you guys are growing and becoming a brand. I been with you guys since day 1! Keep doing what you guys do it’s awesome. If you ever need to feature somebody on your podcast I’d be interested in talking about being raised up Italian, and how my family does things, from the homemade foods, to the fruit trees and gardening, to the wine making and landscape/construction work!

Everything they say, I can relate
Absolutely love listening to Growing Up Italian. Everything they cover during their podcasts, I can relate. As a child who grew up in an Italian American household in New York, i was able to relate to the traditions and family gatherings.

    Hysterical and Relatable
I’m not personally Italian but I have a lot of close Italian cousins and friends. Listening to this always makes me think of them and my childhood at my aunts/uncle’s house. I love this podcast and always listen to it when I want a solid dose of nostalgia and humor. Check it out when you get a chance.

    Buona podcast
  • RMaurerIII
    Hilarious!
I love Rocco and Tony, they are hilarious! If you are Italian, this is a MUST LISTEN! I enjoyed how relatable it was too!!
