Carmelita morenitaExactly what I neededWow talk about hearing exactly what you need when you need it most! Heavenly Father really does know me. And thank you for being a toll to help me see that in a difficult season in my own life.

KDychesthefirstHow can you NOT feel the Spirit while listening to this podcast???Melanie is fun, energetic and filled with the happiest joy in the gospel of Jesus Christ. You feel better about life when you listen to her podcast! Plus, we are both ADHD- Sisters in Christ! Go team!

-
SherbearGmaThank you!I have dyslexia & ADHD. Scripture study has always been difficult for me. I appreciate this podcast more than I can say. Some podcasts get so deep and academic that I start to zone off. This podcast moves along and makes scripture study doable for me- thank you!
-
Kelly Lee55 stars!I love this podcast! I am not one who understands the scriptures easily, so I love how Melanie talks about them in way that makes sense to me. I love how real she is. She always helps me feel the Spirit and see the light in the gospel.

Lori D LeavittWonderful podcast !I just started listening to Melanie and I love it! A friend of mine referred me to this podcast and I’m so grateful! It’s a great way to learn more about the gospel in a fun and engaging way! Thank you Melanie for sharing your talent and your time! You’re “amazing “ 😘

ilove2bake4uIluvtheBoM2Melanie motivates me to study and read The Book of Mormon as well as my other scriptures. I feel like she speaks my same language. I can follow along and keep up.

Dré want to be a DoctaPlease read the Book of MormonMelanie, when I try to listen to the Book of Mormon from the LD Library app and I’m not on WiFi it does to this weird robotic voice and I hate it. I focus so much on the terrible voice with no feeling that I just turn it off. Would you please read and record yourself so we can download it and listen to you read? Thank you and Merriest Christmas!!! You’re the best!!!

JraemeLove your podcast! This podcast is NOT too long! I tried other “come follow me” podcasts, they had good hosts and messages, but I didn’t feel as enriched after listening to them. I also didn’t really care for them spending 10 minutes reciting the accomplishments of the guest host for the week. Don’t get me wrong, they are amazing people, but I just wanted to learn about the scriptures. You spend your time testifying of Christ and the truthfulness of the Bible and Book of Mormon. You give such great examples of how to apply the messages in our every day lives. You’re like Nephi in a way- you “talk of Christ, rejoice of Christ”, I always feel more determined to do better after listening to you. Please don’t change a thing!

LindslarMissed ya!I am so grateful you are back. Your testimony, honesty and strength mixed with your constant eye on God and the Book of Mormon has helped to strengthen my faith. Thank you. Don’t stop.

-
JanessaSThankfulI am grateful for you and your podcast! I look forward to your insights, excitement and emotional connection to the scriptures. Thank you for using your gifts to bless others!

heysydFour years ago this would have been 5 starsI really do love Melanie, but I wish she would record new episodes every week. She was a different person four years ago, and I think the Melanie she is now would see the Book of Mormon differently. I love listening to her each week, but I wish she would post new episodes rather than repeats.

Khermie91Melanie is full of fun and heart-felt sentimentsI’ve been listening to Melanie Stroud’s podcasts for a few months now as a non-member of her church reading through the Book of Mormon alongside Latter Day Saints. I was enjoying listening to a historian and his podcasts, and while his teaching is marvelous, some weeks I just need to listen to BoM commentary that’s down to earth and relatable in my day to day life. Melanie’s reflections on the weekly readings offer what I’m looking for in two ways. Sometimes she brings a spirit of humor and sometimes she tugs on the heart strings. Her commentary helps me better hear the love of God and Jesus through another inspired testament in a way that strengthens me as I trek through the mud of life and my own spiritual journey. And she’s kind to respond to my reflections and questions on her IG page! You won’t regret spending an hour-ish a week listening to her heart for the power of the scriptures.

Mama_PerkinsAnswer to prayerThis podcast came into my life as an answer to prayer. I love the way she explains scripture, expounds on words and phrases, and cross references with other relevant teachings. I feel the Spirit every time I listen, even if I just have a few minutes!!

Love that game...So goodThis week was my turn to teach Sunday school to the 11, 12, and 13 yos. I was sick most of the week and didn’t have a good chance to prepare. I listened to Melanie’s podcast twice and it was so helpful for me to come up with ideas on my lesson. When I was praying tonight, I realized that I feel like I’m part of a team of people are dedicated to making my lessons good for the kids that I teach. And I’m just one member of the team. God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are other members of the team of course, and Melanie and another podcast I listen to, and the dozens of people who put their ideas on online for me to use are the other members of this team. I don’t know where else I would find a team of people like this. A team that is dedicated to the kids in my class even though they’ve never met them. I’m so grateful for Melanie and her podcast and the weekly teaching, she does in a way that seems like it was spoken just for me.

Jh1133What a Delightful Podcast! You’re the best! Cracking me up tonight when you were talking about Nephi scratching out Isaiah, “eee, eee, eee”😂 And so spiritual and joyful at the same time. Love your bright testimony and perspective on the gospel. Delightful!
-
BrownieisgoodGratefulYou are so helpful to me. You make learning about Book of Mormon comes to live and fun to me. I love listening to your podcast. Please keep up the good works. Thank you so so much.
-
Madame KeriMelanie is a light in a very dark world!I would love feeling her bright light each week EVEN if I didn’t rely on it as a youth Sunday school teacher. She is warm, funny, real, and testifies of the Savior’s love for us over anything else. Thank you’s from Utah, Melanie! Keri
-
Pharmdude25I love it.I’m going to keep this simple, this brings me closer to Jesus Christ and makes me want to try harder to read my scriptures and pray more. Thank you.
-
psych the tb showNew year resolutionI really love listening to this I have trouble reading the Book of Mormon and doing come fellow me I just started listening. I feel like I should read the whole Books of Mormon

KristenraleighEasy fun podcast for CFMMelanie is so great and down to earth. I’ve listened to this podcast for the past few years and enjoy how relateable she is and that she not too serious…ever! I listen to this podcast as I’m doing chores around the house or getting ready in the morning and it’s great making it easy for me to feel like I’ve done my study for the week even if I haven’t made time to sit down and read my scriptures! But as Melanie will say get in the scriptures! She encourages us to get there, to read the scriptures for ourselves because that is really where we learn for our selves and gain a testimony of the gospel. Highly recommend this podcast!

MS Fan in AZCFM FavoriteMelanie, I found your podcast after being referred by a friend last summer - August 2023. Our stake youth had a Book of Mormon Quest in June and the friend who referred me to your podcast was one of the organizers. She coined the phrase ‘Quest On’ and said it all thru the planning stage and at the event! I think I now know the origin of her phrase idea - Shine On! I love the 2024 commentary added to the original recordings you’ve done from the past. Your insights and style keep me engaged and entertained😎. And keep me coming back for more. Well done. I don’t substitute your podcast for actually reading the scriptures - this year the Book of Mormon - but I enjoy supplementing my own study with your perspectives. Also, I’ve recently started reading your book Feasting on the words of Christ. So far, so great! Thank you for doing all the heavy lifting!

lawnee89New Year’s ResolutionI’m one of those people Melanie spoke about today. I set a New Year Resolution to stick to the lessons from Come Follow Me and studying the scriptures this year. I’ve never really done it, and I’ve been a member my whole life. I’ve loved listening to her, hearing her thoughts, and making it an easy listen to feel inspired to read and study scripture. I want to love The Book of Mormon like Melanie says she does, I want to grow my testimony of these books so that I can teach my children to do the same.
-
lindsrwNothing but goodness.6 years now I’ve listened and as always it’s..FANTASTIC!! Love you Melanie!

Chiquitita Dime PorqueThank You Is Not EnoughA friend shared this podcast and it couldn’t of come at a better time, it feels like life is overrun by meadow muffins sometimes. She settles my heart and soul and helps me to understand who I am and exactly just how much He truly loves me.

I am in high school, which can be hard, and this is helping me a lot in my actions and thoughts. The sweet stories and powerful thoughts make me want to be more Christlike! Sadie_ruthA needed reminderI’ve struggled to do come follow me since it came out. I always looked for a podcast that would help me understand the come follow me in a way I could learn. There are other come follow me podcast that miss the umph that I needed. I know that when I listen to this one I can relate the scriptures to my life easily. I don’t need or want facts every other line and that’s why I love this one because you can tell she just has so much love for the gospel and that is what helps me the most. Thanks for the constant gentle reminders on how to become more like Christ!
-
Nickey119RealThank you for being real!! Thank you for sharing how you apply the scriptures in your life. I’ve slacked a little and didn’t listen to this one in order but came back to it. You talked about things that I had a conversation with a friend about this week which inspired me to share with her. Appreciate you taking time out of your life to share your testimony!
-
Alison 😃Inspiring Podcast In Every WayI have listened to Melanie religiously for a few years now and she never fails to leave me with a goal, a smile (or an out loud giggle), a new understanding of gospel principles/lessons, and a desire to be a doer not just a listener!!! Thank you Melanie for being amazing and sharing your knowledge, personal and relatable experiences and most importantly your outtakes with all of us listeners!!! I feel like we are friends! Thank you for reminding me to “shine on” each week!!! ☀️

Breanna ODedicated ListenerI have been a dedicated listener since the beginning of Melanies podcast. She is so fun and humble and has opened my eyes to so much as I have worked this last year to really improve my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Applying the scriptures to my life has gained a whole new meaning and it’s so fun to have a positive conversation with my husband, friends and family about the podcast and things I am learning! Thank you for helping me gain a deeper love for the gospel and my savior! ❤️ please don’t stop recording!!

Nichel83A light and fun podcastMelanie, I’m a mid forties male married with 3 girls, church goer. And I really enjoy your weekly podcasts! Why would I come here to leave a review when you already have thousands of 5 star reviews? Well, because I owe you a thank you for being a positive/uplifting impact on my soul! I find this a fun/uplifting/positive/human/realistic weekly dose of the “good news”. I honestly wish our Sunday School lessons felt and sounded more like this…more personal, the highs and lows of life, an open and honest teacher. You have a gift for this, I hope you continue to do more of this type of work. Now that you’re repeating episodes I have 1 simple suggestion to add additional/new content to the current episodes. You have a gift for not only sharing insights and personal stories, but a unique perspective that raises interesting questions. Perhaps at the end of the new/rerun episodes would you consider adding 1-5 open ended questions that the lesson brought to your mind? So we’d listen to the recap and your thoughts and you could then say, “here’s some questions to ponder on this week” and then share a handful of questions that come to mind that you and we are meant to be pondering in regards to the lesson topic. You don’t need to answer the Q’s, you can give context for why you chose them, but I think you’ll be able to come up with some I never would and it will help me invest in these weekly lessons on a deeper, more spiritual level. You clearly don’t need to do this idea, it’s your podcast and you’re in charge, I just think this would be a fascinating addition each week and I’ve learned a fair amount from your past self, but perhaps today you can add questions we can chew on to help us achieve the deeper meaning. Thanks!

Jhiggy NevadaA nice steppingstone along right the pathEntertaining enough to listen to during my two hour commute. It’s been a nice way to help keep up with come follow me during the week. Thank you for all you do! Love the podcast!
-
Lisa B ChapinAmazing insight and loveI’ve been listening to Melanie for years now. She has always brought a piece of truth I need to hear each podcast. Today I listened to the one where she talked about the young woman being the light to help her son come back to church. I have two amazing sons who have walked away. I’ve felt for years it would take others to bring them back. Thank you so much for sharing this story and building a momma’s hope and faith a bit more. If you need a place to feel the voice of the Lord. Listen to Melanie. She is untuned with her mission in life and has taught be how to follow mine. I’m grateful for my new wonderful relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus the Christ!!!
-
CarrilyneThe only come follow me podcast...That I am still listening too! I love Melanie! Seriously, I was listening today to this week's episode and I was dying laughing about how you had to give a disclaimer about laughing and giggling! That is exactly why I love your podcast, because I can connect with you on a human level and I feel the spirit more easily with that connection! I put your podcast on Sunday the mornings and my kids often listen with me! Also... Can you and Shelby please do some extra content together!! Like maybe talk about church culture things that are funny (or need to end), or just about anything really! Because you guys make me laugh and that's my favorite!
-
MommaMiaBI♥️Melanie!I can’t believe that we’re best friends (that’s how I feel at least) and I’ve never even left you a review. I’m sorry and I’m changing my way today! I don’t remember how I found you, but I am very grateful. I love your desire to help others come to Christ and your humility to not make it about you (even though you love reviews, it’s OK, words of affirmation is my love language too, so I get it). I loved this podcast four years ago and I love it today. The Holy Spirit teaches me something new, or helps me remember something every time I listen. You’re the best!!
-
dnapriceMelanie speaks my languageWhen I say she speaks my language I mean she presents the the lessons and scriptures in a simple but deep manner. I can understand the scriptures do much better and listening to the podcast adds so much yo my Come Follow Me Stidy.
-
aubree.benderUplifting and fun for all ages!!Thank you so much Melanie for helping me come closer to Christ through your podcast! Your podcast makes me more excited to study Come, Follow Me. I’ve been listening for years and have recommended it to lots of people. 🤍🤍
-
ChelseamckellPoor representationThis podcast isn’t about the Come Follow Me curriculum. She spends a significant amount of time talking about irrelevancies at best, divisive politics at worst. There are several wonderful true to topic Gospel Study podcasts out there which truly draw us closer to Christ. This one was disappointing and I hope those not of our faith don’t listen to this and judge us by the content. The author also likes to read her positive reviews during her podcast. What’s the point and this?! Like a weird self validation thing or self glorification.

6kiddosmomLearning by the spiritWhile discussing the parable of the fig tree, you mentioned that when you were thinking these thoughts in your head it felt very profound but when speaking them into the microphone it did not feel that way. Just a little aside- you were being taught by the spirit! And even if it doesn’t feel profound when you say it into the microphone, we have the same opportunity. I can definitely say that I felt the spirit while listening and was comforted and taught by that spirit as well. Shine on!!
