Pretty good I guess

First time, long time! This is a great way to get introduced to the medium of comic books from 3 different perspectives. Dallas is the ring leader and well-read smarty pants. He has been reading comics for years and has coerced his sister Lexi to join him in weekly discussions about comics that are not just of your Top 40’s mainstream variety. Poor Lexi was bamboozled by her older brother to discuss “literature” which turned her into a comics enthusiast! She turned the tables on Dallas and inundated him with WebToons and found his stash of comics under her bed! Anne joins them to round out the trio. She’s reclaiming her love of comics after a short absence when the Big 2 almost ruined them for her…except for Aquaman. The discourse is very thoughtful and entertaining. The three of them have built a great space for discussing how they read stories and enjoy them differently. I look forward to the episodes weekly!

Chip Zdarsky sent his loyal readers a message recently mentioning his interview with your podcast. This what the first I’d heard of your podcast. Your interview with him was great and inspired a scroll through your stream for more interviews. The next first stand out was your conversation about Calvin and Hobbes. Spoiler alert it was wonderful. There were a few highlights/standouts, but the number one thing that inspired this response was… (totally paraphrased): Calvin and Hobbes is the only thing from my childhood that is able to be enjoyed today. Or something like that. It stood out because it is true and well said, pre-paraphrase. Transformers, Thundercats, G.I.Joe the list goes on and on. Yet, Calvin and Hobbes reads just as well today as it did yesterday (if not better). After writing this you will be getting a four star (five star?) rating on Apple Podcasts. so, just wanted to say hello. Great interview. Great conversation. This is probably my favorite comic podcast (also the only comic podcast I listen to,) all of y’all are great, but Anne keeps having bad Batman based opinions so that actually makes it the worst comics podcast of all time.

i was scrolling about my for you page as i always do, and i consistently kept seeing this blonde guy with glasses pop up with great comic book takes and recommendations and after seeing enough of him i said i ought to give you a follow. as i was looking through your page i realized it was all a sneaky hoax because it was secretly all an advert for a podcast! this was fine though because i work long days where i just need to plug my headphones in and chug along, so i always have my eyes open for new long form content. i went ahead and listened to your most recent episode on ms marvel and its got the same chill vibes and great insight from you tiktok! so i guess the advertisement worked. i am a huge fan of ms marvel, and i was also raised mormon. i am not currently part of any religion, but i could totally relate to your guys’s insight on that kind of upbringing, and how even though i am also a white guy, i see a lot of myself in kamala’s stories. hope you guys keep up the great work! i am currently listening to your saga discussions and really enjoying them! i am excited to go back and listen to more of your backlog, and looking forward to new episodes coming out!

You guys have such an insightful and fun way of talking about comics and sometimes manga. It’s a great way to introduce others to this amazing medium. I think that you guys are the gold standard for when it comes to talking comics, especially when we are in this age of toxic behavior for when it comes to nerdy and geeky things. I must say the hosts of this wonderful show are truly some of the most fun people to talk to and work with *cough* I am not one of them *cough* but in all honesty Dallas and Anne are some of the most intellectual people I have ever met and I am amazed every week by the context they can bring to some of the silliest comics! They truly are so fun to be with each and every week! Everyone should give a listen 😊 and no I am not biased

Since poor Dallas complained about having no Apple Reviews to read, this is for him. This is one of the funniest comics podcasts out there. Anne, Lexi, and Dallas have a natural chemistry and you can tell that they genuinely love spending time together. Listening to them talk comics, go off on tangents, and have a hilarious time together is such a nice weekly ray of sunshine in my life. Love these goofballs!

Whether you’re a seasoned fan or thinking of getting into comics, look no further! Dallas, Lexi, and Anne strike a perfect balance between artful analysis and fun banter that makes every episode feel like you’re talking shop with old friends. These three bring their A-game to every book they cover, even ones they’re not crazy about (sorry about all the Morrison stuff, Lexi), and their creator interviews give me a deeper appreciation for the craft behind this incredible medium. I first found out about this podcast very recently, through the hosts’ Twitter accounts. Seeing as how they’ve made my experience on there a lot better, I suppose giving this podcast a shot wouldn’t hurt. And I’ve been loving it ever since. Anne, Dallas, and Lexi are just great to listen to. Their incredibly in-depth looks at stories that I was familiar with or hadn’t even heard of until this podcast honestly give me newfound appreciation for comic books. Their “banter” (I guess you could call it that) has gotten me to laugh many times and quite loudly. I honestly wasn’t even big on podcasts before, either. But this is just very easy to put on and listen to, either in the background or paying close attention. I honestly can’t get enough of this podcast now, and I’m so glad I found it. This podcast and its hosts revived my love of comic books. So thanks! :) P.S.: I hope you guys cover something either Cassandra Cain or Spider-Man related in the future, if you haven’t already. That would be really cool.

I discovered this podcast and it's lovely hosts on Twitter and, without question, it was the best thing to come out of that wretched hive of scum and villainy. Dallas, Lexi, and Anne are some of the most fun people to listen to about comics. They've gotten me reading new books and the community they've fostered has been wonderful to be a part of. The only fault so far is that they haven't read Spencer's run on Spider-Man or Avengers 200, what's up with that? Btw, this is Ethan Yount from Twitter, podcasts has cursed me with using my username from when I was 11 and liked Yu-gi-oh.
