You know it’s ski season when episodes start releasing
I’ll listen here and there depending on the guests but the question “how many friends have you lost in the mountains” is inappropriate. It feels unempathetic. Imagine losing a best friend or partner and someone asking you about it nonchalantly. Love to hear more women guests and less questions, more normal conversational flow. It does get me fired up for ski season when the topic and guests and interesting. The doctor that spoke about knee replacements was very helpful.

    Great stories of skiing
Love the podcast and all of the stories that come out during the conversation. Please please just change one thing with your questions. Only ask how many days did you skied last year once. You always ask it a second time and it is often within a minute of asking it the first time. It just comes off as scripted and robotic. Otherwise keep up the great job.

    Great podcast

    Format needs to change
The guests on the podcast are great, but the same exact format and list of questions on every episode gets old, quick. It’s unfortunately turned a number of my friends off who used to listen and I end up fast forwarding through a lot of the questions every episode. We get it, the people you have on here ski a lot, have lost friends in the mountains, have had similar injuries, can do multiple tricks, etc. That’s not what we’re tuning in for, it’s the stories of the guests. If Miles could be more organic with the flow of questions really catered to each guest I’d give this 5 stars! I do appreciate the direction Miles has taken this with more of a DE&I focus with some recent guests this year and last. Those have been refreshing to hear and great to shake up this predominately white culture that exists in the ski industry. Nice job on bringing in a lot of incredible women athletes as well!

    Best outdoor adventure podcast
It’s all about the host. There’s tons of adventure podcasts that are interviewing legends of the sport and discussing great content and stories. It’s Miles‘s ability to communicate and host the show and bring out an experience with his guests that make this a really special thing to listen to and make me wanting to come back for every single episode. Well done Miles! Other podcast hosts should really take note!

    Beat sports podcast
Smart, informed, engaging, and intimate. Miles is a master at having conversations with people that leave the listener feeling like they know the person he’s talking with. He brings his curiosity, passion for the outdoors, and his stoke for life to every conversation. He also has a knack for asking questions that are perfect for the situation. To top it off, he’s talking with total legends! This isn’t just the best snow sports podcast, it’s the best sports podcast in general. Can’t wait for the next episode!!

    Great Podcasts
For those of us that live vicariously through the exploits of real ski professionals, this podcast series is just the ticket. I find the podcasts that focus on the impacts of external factors on the skiing world, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, are particularly interesting. I’m not sure how he enlists the participation of the best and brightest, but I’ll keep coming back for more. Great work!

    Informative
I've listened to a bunch of these now and really enjoyed the different perspectives of what it is like to be inside the industry. I particularly liked the snow science episodes and feel like I picked up a few tips and tricks from them.

During the interviews, Miles always has an interesting story to tell and he tells them well. His enthusiasm and excitement comes thru every time and the guest seems to genuinely enjoy the chat. I am always looking forward to the next one. One of my favorites is the Scot Schmidt interview.

    The Cali Boy
Miles does a great job of bringing well known and respected guests onto the pod. His ability to flush out good information from the guest helps everyone from resort to the backcountry. He does make sure to let you know he’s a backie boy from the valley.

    FOMO GoBro
Enjoyed almost all your episodes but your last two about avalanches are pretty bogus. On the daily you post GoBro vids of you shredding pow in gnarly avalanche terrain and terrain traps solo. Some of those vids cracks are shooting out from your skis and you just keep on going. People like you and Leeps seem more concerned with footy then safety. Plus the FOMO you spread is a whole other topic.

Great podcast to keep the stoke high!
Been looking for a solid ski podcast to listen to and this one is it! The avalanche and safety ones are my favorite so far because it’s hard to find podcasts about that stuff!
  • AliGlicks

Miles is passionate about skiing, in addition to having a ton of experience, and it really shows in the engaging conversations he has with his knowledgeable guests.

Finally some quality ski and snow related content!
Love that there’s finally a podcast about hot button ski/snow sport issues from an insider who’s been in this world for nearly 20 years. The covid podcast was super informative and topical since I know I and a lot of people I know are trying to figure out their 2020/2021 ski season and whether it’s safe to ski. Down with gators, up with masks! Looking forward to learning more!
