    I have a question!
Your Ask Me Anything page on your website said this could be a good way to reach you. I am curious. Have you ever listened to the physicist Tom Campbell? He was recently on the Joe Rogan podcast. He has a theory of everything that posits consciousness as the foundation of everything. His exposition of his theory sounds pretty compatible with process theology. You may be interested in checking him out and/or interviewing him. Just thought I’d let you know!

What? No. I’m not submitting this just to ask a question…
So, question. How does one contact you to beg you for the opportunity to be a guest on your show? I don’t do the social medias well and I can’t track down your email address because I’m old and lazy.

Tripp - what a cool episode. At about 30 mins in, when Critchley was listing the -ly adverbs, immediately in my brain the old “Richard Henry Lee” song from “1776” went on full blast. I was undone from that point. - Bruce Cole

Excellent interesting and informative podcast. It’s usually fun, serious, informative, interesting, challenging and often moving all at the same time. I’m a late boomer cradle but highly disgruntled (former?) Catholic. Tripp and his colleagues and guests have greatly broadened and integrated my worldview. Worth your time ( and $ support!) Peace! Same toxicity as evangelicals just different politics
I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I really do appreciate and enjoy the historical criticism, incites and theological perspectives I had not been exposed to before and some of the guests like John Dominic Crossan. But then you listen more and you learn that Tripp and his friends all live in an academic echo chamber and are every bit as toxic, intellectually dishonest, and hypocritical as the fundamentalist evangelical cult I was raised in. I was excited to discover this podcast along with a couple of others at first because I did go down a deconstruction journey from deep Southern Baptist roots. It’s just so disappointing and frustrating when Tripp and his guests talk about things with such certainty that they are quite obviously unqualified to address. I listened because I’m looking for people more educated than me in Biblical historical criticism and non penal substitutionary atonement theology, not to hear people less educated than me in business, politics, or technology moan about it. They have the same disease as the Jerry Fallwells of the world just a different manifestation. They preach love and tolerance and caring for the marginalized etc. but then you listen to them and they really mean love and tolerance and caring for people who agree with their politics. Those who don’t are the problem, same as the evangelicals I ran away from. I was hopeful to just find some normal ‘Christians’ or people interested in ancient religious traditions who could be respectful to everyone, even those who don’t agree with them. These are not those people.

Eye-opening Talk with “Life After Doom” Author Brian McLaren
Tripp Fuller features fresh perspectives in discussing “Life After Doom” with groundbreaking author and leader Brian McLaren. Christians need to learn much more about how the “Empire” nature of the West has shaped modern Christianity and led to the toxic and destructive legacy of existential ecological crisis.

Love this pod cast, but it does stretch my brain a bit. It always leaves me with more to research, think about, and try to understand.

    The Zestiest God-Pod
Tripp and all his friends and guests have changed my life and 3 years ago completely rocked my world after I learned about Homebrewed from starting listening to A People’s Theology in 2020. I immediately joined Tripp and Tom Oord’s Being Christian class and the rest is history* It has been so extremely rewarding to travel this open and relational journey for the past three years. I’ve been lucky to do lay preaching on process and ORT themes, and talked to many friends about Homebrewed and have “shared the brew” and tried to lure others to the #ProcessParty. Because I got into process philosophy and O.R. theology during my undergrad in philosophy, it was very exciting to think about Hegel’s mutual recognition and Heidegger’s being-in-the-world having already been into a dynamic ontology of entanglement and flux. In fact, as a PHIL101 supplemental instructor after undergrad, I presented to a class on an open and relational answer to the problem of evil. Thank you Tripp and friends! *has been taken up into the life of God who then provides novel possibilities for my future in each moment as we co-create together, knowing the past may perish in memory and “in” time, while at the same rime the life of the world becomes objectively immortal in the mind of God as God shares in the experience of all creation (and makes experience possible at all)

    Emerging Church discussion in 12/23
I’m a UU, so I have no direct connection to the emergent church, the exvangelical movement, or Christian deconstruction. That said, I have found myself passionately interested in both the history of and the theological wrestling that has gone on in the post-evangelical community in the past 20 to 25 years. I also find myself quite moved by the emotion that you capture subtly but poignantly in interviews with folks like Tony and Doug. There is such depth of feeling in their reflection on their work and ministries. Love it! I also wanted to take this opportunity to make sure you meet Cody Sanders at Luther (you may already be gone?) and get him on the show. He’s written a number of books that have been really helpful for me. Peace!

I am a huge LOTR fan and greatly appreciated your episode of it. However I was hugely disappointed with the lack of even one reference to Fleming Rutledge’s book on it. I can only imagine you havnt read it. Do yourselves a favor and check it out.

    Listen to a Genuine Christian
In Feb., 2021, when unexpected triple bypass and the COVID pandemic left me numb and isolated, Tripp Fuller’s inquiring mind and genuine Christian presence provided a new and accurate look at the reality of Jesus! 🛟🪢! His interviews of fantastic scholars granted new life to a questioning soul! I am now registered in Masters-level classes in Religion, Peace and Justice!

Not the podcast you’re looking for
Don’t let the word “Christianity” in the title fool you. This is NOT a Christian podcast. I wish they would stop confusing people by calling themselves Christians. They have no idea what the word Christian means or what it means to truly follow Jesus. They follow the world and culture and then try to add Jesus into the mix as an afterthought. I have a feeling one day they will hear the words from Jesus written in Matthew 7:23.

    Indispensable for me!
I have been a listener to Homebrewed since the beginning, and for a decade at least a paying subscriber. This podcast more than anything else has been responsible for me being able to return to faith again with my critical faculties intact. I really believe Tripp and Homebrewed are bringing more people to the Lord, in a way that is sustainable in a thinking person’s life, than almost anything in our culture today. Thx Tripp and bless you.

    Tripp
If Tripp’s classes are anything like this podcast, oh what lucky students! These are educating, entertaining, and perfect for theology nerds and armchair theologians like me. They are Spirit-filled, Jesus-focused, discussions of life along the Way.

    Zesty and Nerdy
I’ve been a long time listener for over 5 years. I personally miss the academic emphasis that this show once had (bring back the nerd feed!), but I think HBC’s emphasis upon accessible learning opportunities and trying to address the questions facing Christians living in the world today are great! Keep up the good work Tripp

    Refreshing, intelligent
When it comes to theology, I’m hard to please. A hint of fundamentalism or sloppy scholarship and I’m gone. (I have an M.Div from Virginia Theological Seminary, ‘83.) I first discovered Homebrewed Christianity when I saw a tweet by Jeffrey Pugh about the Bonhoeffer series he and Tripp Fuller were planning. The series did not disappoint, nor has any of the podcasts I’ve viewed since. Highly recommended.

The OG Podcast for Theology Nerds
The godfather of god pods. Episode after episode of refreshing, truthful, honest, and thought provoking content that answers questions and makes you ask for more. Not dogmatic but realistic views from guests from across the theological spectrum. Can’t recommend it more highly.

    Amazing Podcast!
Tripp Fuller has been expanding my heart, soul, mind and strength for ten years now. He and his many guests have helped me use more critical thinking in my approach to church history and scripture. I am grateful for all of this!

    Wonderful podcast!
This podcast saved me from losing my Christian faith. American Christianity often has become associated with one political party and the idol worship of politicians. This podcast is opposite of this craziness and provides an honest and historical take on Christianity as one of the great world religions. Humans are messy, and HBC is great at teaching Christianity’s history and its various strains of theology. It is a very honest podcast run by a nationally known theologian. HBC is great to listen to in parallel to church small group Bible study or after listening to a sermon. Highly recommend.

    Seeking something new
I was seeking new insights and freshness in my tried and true theology and beliefs. Christianity serves me well even now in my eighties. The problem was that the God who loved the world in the mid twentieth century needed to be affirmed as the God who still loves the world in the twenty-first century. His creation is continuing and expanding. Tripp has the ability to honor the good things of the past and juxtapose them as history for today with new knowledge and awareness. Should I add: prophetic inkling?

The Bonhoeffer and All you do Tripp and guests on Home Brewed
I am finding thought provoking material and insight on how to look at Jesus! The churches have never known Jesus, nor God nor anything from my experience. They run it like a business and vote republican who put business over people, profit over people, people reduced to numbers! “Christians” really are, and quite frankly, have always been this way, especially in America. American has spread it poison everywhere around the world, and now it is all crumbling. I am deconstructing, and almost to the point of no longer believing at all until I found Home Brewed. Here is where I have started learning how to see Jesus a new way, especially the classes have really helped me and my journey! The Bonhoeffer series was so amazing! I am in grad school and this is right up my lane! Critical thinking is needed to see the truth and I am not afraid of learn it. I don’t believe the “christians” really, truly believe in Jesus, nor in a God at all. It shows in their dead trees with rotten fruit. they are afraid, and it says do not fear.. they hate their neighbor, and it says love them.. they idolize their status, this country and display idols and statues, many that harm others.. Idolatry is a sin, right? They change the bible and meaning to fit their narrative and to control others..like hating the LGBTQ or women submission.. ummm.. this is false witness .. They don’t care about the earth that was created and all that is living, including the elements, plants, oceans, animals, humans.. we are to steward not destroy and be greedy…I have seen many evangelicals create their own bible with their notes to show you how to see it through their version.. do they think they are one of the disciples? Again, they don’t know God.. They don’t know Jesus..and it shows.. God was correct.. you will know them by their fruit..And many say Jesus name and do not know they/them Thank you for all you do in a time where there are many wolves calling themselves christians among the sheep. I am afraid it is possible that we are living in simular times as Bonhoeffer did and to see what is unfolding, it is good to learn from someone who saw simular and how to stand up on the right side and how “christians” were just as evil then as they are now.

Tripp's podcast has been a lifeline for me to not give up on faith altogether but to rediscover faith that doesn't demand that I set aside my mind or my heart. Homebrewed Christianity has helped me to move away from an 'all or nothing" perspective to a much more open and dynamic way of understanding the Christian faith. Tripp has an engaging personality that makes it fun for guests and fun to listen to fresh approaches to faith that are worthwhile. Thanks Tripp!

    Good! With room for improvement
I’ve definitely learned a lot from this podcast! I would love it if they gave more definitions of terms for those who aren’t deep in the theology world. I’d also appreciate if they invited other folks on for the “graphs about religion” episodes. There’s a lot of speculation in those episodes about the internal motivations of the people behind the stats. When those people are POC, women, queer, etc., it can be hard to listen to two white cis men speculate like that

    Incredible Breadth of Thought
They have a real knack for interviewing great thinkers and asking insightful questions that really draw out the subject of the interview.. I also appreciate the range of different viewpoints that are presented in a such a way that you never get the feeling that Tripp or his co hosts ever try to "one up" their subject, or try to prove their own viewpoint. It is refreshing in a rancorous age full of petty bickering and rhetorical games that pass for discourse to hear people express their viewpoints to an interviewer who then asks the perfectly insightful question. Five thumbs up. More meaning, truth and goodness than I can wrap my head around at times.

Great host, great guests, great conversations
This is currently my can’t-miss podcast, and has been for a few months. Tripp keeps things moving and engaging, even when the subject matter is heavy. He brings on great people, and promotes a sense of community among listeners. His topics are timely and of specific interest to me as a pastor of a new faith community.

    Tripp and this podcast rock!
I absolutely love Tripp and the way he embraces his theological and other types of nerdiness! He has such incredible, thought provoking guests on the show and is a fantastic interviewer and conversationalist. I’ve kept coming back to this show throughout the years as I’ve navigated the deconstruction and reconstruction of my faith, and it’s such an open place of dialogue regardless of whether you’d consider yourself a theology nerd like me, a Christian, or if you’re just interested in topics related to spirituality, justice, the Bible, and/or Jesus. Bonus: the lord of the rings episodes were my favorite…so amazingly cool!

    Terrific Podcast
Best guests, evocative interviews, gives the listener access to speakers and discussions you’d usually have to pay grad school tuition to hear. Warning:It’s addicting. You start with checking out a zesty episode here and there. Next you start making excuses to put your earbuds in and walk the dog AGAIN because a new episode is out, and you catch yourself posing philosophical questions to the guy next to you on the elevator. Before you know it, you’re hooked and signing up for every class Tripp does, and wondering aloud, “But AM I too old to go to Theology Beer Camp though?”

    Excellent and very thoughtful discussions.
I’m a senior citizen from Pittsburgh, PA. I have been exploring the Christian faith from left of center sources for decades. It has been a great gift to have recently discovered HBC. I really look forward to the podcasts. I loved the Christmas class with Dom Crossan and am looking forward Easter class.

Support from a couple of old codgers..
We graduated from a rather forward thinking university in the late 1980’s and have struggled to find a community that asks the type of questions we enjoy encountering. If you like interesting encounters in theological ideas that challenge in loving care and philosophy with a smattering of good humor, you’ll enjoy Tripp and his guests. We don’t miss a podcast nor a class. Check out Homebrewed Christianity classes, while you’re at it. Good stuff. Keep up the good work, Tripp!

    Funny. Accessible and informative!
I can’t even remember when and how I discovered Tripp, because I’ve been listening and watching (and reading!) avidly for a few years now at least. Tripp offers high-level academic ideas on an easy and fun level to understand, and regularly brings on excellent guests from a wide range of backgrounds. I highly recommend this podcast and his other online classes!

    Good for body and soul
I started walking this summer for about an hour each day. The first podcast in my weekly rotation is this one. Tripp always have great guests that make me think beyond the theology that surrounds me. I feel healthier in my body and soul. I would not only recommend the podcast but also the classes Tripp has from time to time. They are an invitation to conversation with God and each other. This is good stuff.

    Transforming Theology!
While I discovered Homebrewed Christianty some years ago, this engaging and most informative podcast literally saved my sanity during COVID, generating questions, learning and continues to transformed my fatih and understanding of scripture, church, culture, economics and history. Tripp and his guest authors and theologians have become my go to for not only personal study but also to inform and share in study groups, and with family and friends. I always look forward to spending time with Homebrewed live or often with the recordings and pursuing recommended books. Thank you!

    Lifelong Learning and Great Fun
Back in 2008 I listened to a few episodes of Homebrewed Christianity and recoiled in horror. But then I gained more maturity and realized what an amazing resource and fun way to nerd out on theology and all sort of interesting ideas. I’m a monthly supporter now, attend many of the classes offered, and binge listen or watch. Tripp and his friends have become family in a way that augments my IRL faith communities and makes me a better person, pastor, and Christian. This is a must listen for ideas that will stretch and maybe even excite you.

Very interesting and thoughtful podcast, sometimes very long introductions (I skip most of it, new listeners can too). Tripp is thoughtful, faithful and not afraid of sharing his views. It’s so refreshing to hear him disagree on points of theology yet completely love and respect whoever he is speaking with. This theology nerd has found another member of her tribe! Thanks for answering my questions and encouraging me to think of new ideas. Now if only I can find a way get to Theology Beer Camp next year I’ll be truly happy.

Wild ride from deeply intellectual to straight up FUN
This is the most unique podcast in my feed. Always interesting. Always fun. Tripp’s conversations inform, entertain and inspire me. He and his guests give me hope that there’s a groundswell of folks “re-forming” Christianity into something that Jesus would actually recognize.
