Stop asking for 5 star reviews, let the listener determine it
Informative podcast but annoyed by being asked to leave a 5 star review by podcast producer
  • Dietmqrkr
Please go back to previous host and format
New host is nice but doesn’t seem informed in the investment management industry. She also has poor pronunciation of words. It also sounds like she is struggling to read off the script. Please bring Christine Benz back or hire another qualified speaker.

    So helpful
Love to hear a woman’s voice in this male-dominated space. She is a great host who asks thoughtful questions and breaks things down in helpful ways.
  • obsvk
    Great Topics
I enjoy listening to Ivanna discuss a variety of topics with enough variety to stay informed on current events and trends as an intermediate investor.
  • AFeuser
    Great podcast, awesome host
Super helpful and thorough podcast. Host explains things clearly and asks great questions.
  • Paul Greenberg
    Need a new host
Love the content. The host needs to speak more clearly and with better diction. All I do not is listen for her poor word pronunciations and not focus on content. She would never be near a mic if this was blackrock or vanguard.
  • Niblett77
    Yes but No
Love getting a good market analysis podcast - BUT - I think the host might be a bit young and in over her head. Some words aren’t fully pronounced and she is just not very articulate. You can do better Morningstar - there are LOTS of people out there whom could fill this role and do so in a way that connects with your audience - This is the new “talk radio” and Morningstar needs to be in this medium - but they need a new captain FAST.

    Terrible reading
    Who is reading this podcast?
  • Never Miss A Show
    New Format
Morningstar has good analysis about the markets and economy and is tailored more for the beginner or intermediate investor. It’s a decent source for broad market worthy news and there is value. Maybe it’s nitpicking, but the new host Ivanna Hampton tends to overemphasize the wrong words and sometimes she doesn’t fully pronounce words beginning with the letter’r’ so it makes it difficult to listen it with earbuds while on my daily run.

    Unlistenable
I’m not sure why they have a host. The interview style is high school level cringey. Could be pre-recorded questions, but it makes for an awful and unlistenable podcast.
  • renlist
I’ve really tried to like the new format
I’m a firm believer in giving new and young professionals a start, but after several months of the new format with Ivana Hampton, it’s time to move off her and onto another host. She’s trying, but it feels amateurish with no improvement.
  • no more Dibellas
    Host is underwhelming
Good report out from Morningstar analysts this week but host is weak. She offered little to no insight and I don’t think analysts were impressed with her questions.
  • Azeem_er1
Good mix of topics and to the point
I highly recommend this podcasts series from morning star. Host is doing an awesome job by precisely focusing on the topics to be discussed and giving guests like Christen Benz ample time to explain difficult personal finance topics in simple terms. Great job morning star team. We appreciate your efforts and hardwork 🙏👍.

    Used to be better
They changed format and have new hosts. Wish I could say it’s an improvement. I gave it five stars before.

    Not So Good Anymore
New format and content definitely lacking. Not so informative anymore.
  • HDA2929
Please go back to the old format
This podcast formally presented Morningstar videos on a wide range of investment topics. The new format seems to be searching for a purpose. I do not expect Morningstar to present quick useless stock tips. And I miss Christine Benz’s common sense approach to investing.
  • Cornhusker55
    Tough listen
New host seems uneducated. Uses slang terms; not professional. Bring back old format.
  • Tennisleague
Not a fan of new host/format
This used to be one of my favorite podcast. Quick, informative, presented well. Now it sounds much more forced scripted and the host comes off more as reading the information rather than presenting the information. I’ll give it a few more, but with all the choices out there I probably won’t stick around long with this format and host.
  • Pediheart
new host just not that good…
during a difficult market period putting a new host in who seems to be reading a script but not offering insights was a poor choice. She may know a lot but she doesn’t show it and just hearing christine benz’ interview is a stark contrast to the ‘feel’ of competence of this new host. Ms Hampton also has kinda ‘mushy’ diction for a podcast host with ends of some words being garbled. I love this podcast but this new direction is of unclear benefit

    Episode 126
I honestly can’t believe this!! I will definitely not take anymore advice from you guys sorry but I don’t believe in this kind of propaganda so I will be unfollowing you! In this day an age I think people of every color have the same opportunities in life the fact that there are more black people coming from one income households particularly gets my feathers ruffled you can’t have it both ways either you think it’s best for two parents to be in a household or you think it should be one I’m guessing since you obviously believe in this you also support BLM and they specifically teach one parent household!! Stay stupid

    Review of Episode on 05/28/2021
Love this episode that the show invited current analysts to talk about the companies they are working on! In addition, this episode is very informative which intrigued me to dive into those companies’ research reports from Morning Star.

    CUT THE SLIDE NOISE
ALMOST a good podcast. But you have to sit the and hear the speaker click their mouse and hear the slide transition sounds as they go through their material. At the very least they could mute slide transitions and use the space bar to transition slides so you can’t tell that their sitting there reading a script. Incredibly simple to fix, but very distracting.
  • Bobbyil
    Great info, bad editing
Always has great information to share but the strange sound effects while people talk make it hard to listen.
  • YannisD
Premium Subscriber - why the strange sound effects ?
Hi Premium subscriber to your website and regular listener. Why the strange sound effects over the top while people are being interviewed? it’s quite distracting and unnecessary and sounds awful and kind of weird. Referring to the wooshing sound with kind of single base tone last heard on most recent podcast around Feb 18.
  • rje14
    5-Star content with 2-Star audio
Love the pod and much of Morningstar’s content and services. With that said, the audio effects and mouse-clicking sounds need to go... it’s incredibly distracting. I’ve turned off episodes only minutes from the start because of all the excess noise and distractions. As a supportive listener and fan of Morningstar, please clean up your audio!

    Poor technical quality............
  • Othenon
    Speak slowly and clearly please
Listening to an episode discussing funds that just re-opened and the first analyst was completely unintelligible. Every speaker seems to be racing to finish their segment - sssslllloooowwww down. It’s ok to provide less content.
  • TerryTXNM
    Enunciation please
Repeatedly, on almost every episode, speakers garble or swallow fund or stock names. This is frustrating because I would like to research further but even with slowing playback to 50% cannot make out the name. This makes me wonder if there is video somewhere to accompany the verbal podcasts and the speakers are depending on the visuals to clarify.

    Worth the Listen
I enjoy the podcast very much. Great information with good insights with very little commercials. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Christina Benz several years ago and she as pleasant in person as she comes across on this podcast.

    Outstanding, unbiased, honest reliable forecasts
Ion longer bother looking at financial websites which I felt were manipulating, or worse, confusing me with their investment ideas. At times I felt it was a pump and dump scheme. Morningstar is the only source I have found that I can trust for my long-term investment plan. TY 😀
  • doosmakina
    Speaker arrangement
Enjoy the podcast immensely but could you move Bob Johnson from first place. He's great and always has good info but as an opening act, it's like Groundhog Day in Econ Class. Nothing personal, Bob, just want to get to the market meat and save the macro for dessert.
  • iNadly
    Well rounded weekly insights

    Too Keynesian
The news bits are good, but the economic analysis is way too Keynesian.

    Great content
Always great content from the Morningstar crew. The qty has slowed down in April leaving me curious as to their plans to continue this worthwhile podcast.
  • Kékcsillag
Great content but those 2 guys are really annoying!!! :)
Generally great content but I find those 2 guys extremely annoying!: Jason Stipp and Jeremy Glaser. they seem to have some secret game going on to see who can speak faster and louder in the most annoying way! Annoying M* Guys, there is actually an art and science to being on camera and voice and delivery… maybe you should attend some courses in it!

I have a FAST broadband connection AND it takes ten minutes to download your five minute audio features. This is at two in the morning on a Sunday. It's not just once either. Your tech is way behind your content. Why! Content is five star, tech is minus five stars
