    Great coaches
After listening for many years, I signed up for personal coaching with Runners Connect six months ago! I’m 60 and have had many injuries in the past. My coach has helped me improve a lot and avoid injury! Now, several of my running friends are also listening to the podcast and we discuss many of the various topics during our training runs! Lots of interesting and helpful information!

    Great podcast!
Really enjoy the diverse array of running information and interviews. I thought the Race Day Simulation (on 8/21/24) episode was extremely helpful- especially making sure we run on similar terrain as our intended race and thinking through our gear, planning ahead and trying out our race kit and shoes ahead of our race to get ourselves in a good position for race day. Helpful tips and lots of good advice!

Joel Friel podcast, how to plan a race schedule
Horrible audio-Joel Friel sounds like he’s yelling from a bathroom or somewhere where the sound sort of echoes. So hard to hear it wasn’t helpful.

    Please stick to running
Might not be the podcasts fault but the most recent episode of Runner spotlight had a runner named Catie on it in which she went full political and called out racism in running!? Also said she wanted to help make the sport more inclusive. Please just cover running. Because they didn’t edit that content, I gave a poor rating.

    Repeats of old podcast material
There’s been a lack of new content for the podcast. The new format appears to be a compilation of old podcasts pieced together under one topic. It’s very disappointing. Sound quality is poor.

    Always interesting
Thanks Michael for your recent podcast I always enjoy the different topics

    Macros Episode
For the love of everything holy, if you’re going to cover a nutrition topic as important as macros, have a registered dietitian as your expert on the topic, not a coach who has a”passion” for nutrition. You can find no less than 20 RDs who specialize in running on instagram. Please and thank you.

    Going downhill
This podcast has totally gone downhill since Claire left. It doesn’t seem like the new host is even on other than to introduce poorly organized clips of regurgitated material with poor sound quality. Much better running podcasts out there.

    Recycling Claire's Old Content
Do yourself a favor and listen to Claire's show The Planted Runner Podcast instead. They are reusing and recycling her old shows instead of creating new material. This is a dying brand.
  • Deno.3
    Super shoe episode
This episode had no actionable running material. Not sure who hosted this but they complained most of the show. There was no positive advice given. It’s been a while since listening but if these are the host moving forward, I’m out.

A Peek Inside The Training Mindset of a 13:30 5k Runner
My favorite episode on this show so far. Great job!

Starting to sound like the “Let’s Run” message board in podcast form
Finally had to unsubscribe. The flippant way in which Alberto Salazar was described as simply having “unscrupulous connections” in passing was the final, tone-deaf straw for me. The guy was banned from our sport for sexually assaulting an athlete. Not to mention all the doping. Get with the program.

    Great podcast!
    💗Love the episode with Brian Reynolds-double amputee💗

    Hit and miss…and miss
If you want to know how to fit 12 minutes of advertisements into a 30 minute podcast - here you go. Also a very good chance the show is an audio recording of a YouTube presentation, or someone reading an article they wrote. The coaches clearly know what they’re talking about, but the presentation on this podcast is subpar, especially considering how long it’s been around.

    Going downhill
I LOVED the older episodes of this podcast.. like binged hours of them on the run all summer long. Ever since Claire left, it’s been going downhill. A lot of regurgitated content in December and the new ones in January feel like whole episode paid advertisements for whatever product the interviewee is selling.

    Too many sponsors…
The majority of an episode was an add… I’m not here for the sponsors sorry but any info that was helpful in that episode was totally lost in my opinion

    SUCH A Great Resource!
I love this podcast! I’m a Masters runner and have been helped so much by the episodes on injury prevention and great suggestions on training plan ideas. This podcast has been such a gift! Thank you!

    LOVE this podcast!!
so much info and easy to digest - this is a great podcast for any level of runner. I would love an episode (or two or three!!) about what to eat and when. I think there’s a few, but I’d love to have some more, maybe with specific foods and meals that runners love.

Great for runners from beginners to advanced!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years. I love it’s wide range of topics and guests. I love to listen to it on a solo run—-it’s like I’m on a run with friends! I’ve been running for over 20 years and am pretty good at it, but still am able to learn new things each week to help improve my running.

    Balanced, Supportive, Achievable
I listen to a lot of running, fitness and triathlon oriented Podcasts. Run to the Top is always on my MUST LISTEN list. They have the right topics at the right time (it seems). I love the balanced approach of host, Claire Bartholic. She’s down to business - no fluff. I always come away from this podcast informed and inspired to continue my running and fitness journey. Make this Podcast a regular listen.

    INJURY 😱
I had an ankle injury in February this year. I’m still on the mend but I stay connected to running by listening to the show. It’s a great way for me to ‘stay in the game’ even though it’s been almost two months since my injury

    The best running podcast!
I’ve learned so much by listening to Run To The Top. Undoubtedly, the show has helped me become a better runner! I truly believe it’s one of the biggest factors as to of how I’ve managed to stay healthy, avoid injury, and run faster! I love the variety of topics, experts, and first-hand experiences. Even though some episodes are focused on topics that are not obviously applicable to my own goals or interests, I still manage to learn something valuable by listening. Thank you for the great information!
  • weston walker
    Great Podcast!!
Love this Podcast!! It is so informative and I can’t say enough good things about it!!
  • Matt Gaidica
    Chatty, lacks evidence
Really great conversations around a central theme (running). Take this review as a complement that I’m still aboard: even though experts are brought on, advice is pretty wishy washy. There are statements like, “carbohydrates are so important for recovery… but so is protein and fat.” Okay, so food is important. I also just heard, “I think all stress is the same… as if a saber toothed tiger is chasing us.” That’s absolutely wrong, there are U-shaped curves involved. Point being, all running is not activating fight or flight, meaning recovery techniques should be spoken about in a more nuanced fashion. Because these details are overlooked, the episodes blend together, and after listening to more than 10, you get the idea: moderation. I would appreciate more studies, and even hard positions if not just to serve as a starting point to examine pros/cons of techniques and strategies.
